What success looks like in this role:
- Breaks down functional and business requirements into tangible, clear and estimable objectives, providing recommendations to management and project team members.
- Writes end-to-end automated tests to provide code coverage for business-critical components.
- Ensures quality, performance and adherence to specifications of assigned development tasks and adjacent technology solutions.
- Works with team members to ensure design, development and execution align with and support adjacencies and adhere to established architectural standards.
- Notifies team or technical manager of variances from plans and identifies changes in scope or work.
- Design and develop solutions across the ServiceNow platform, focusing on integrations with third-party systems.
- Develop and maintain REST and SOAP APIs, scripted web services, and MID Server integrations.
- Implement and support ServiceNow modules like ITSM, CMDB, Incident, Change, Problem, Knowledge, or custom applications.
- Work on end-to-end ServiceNow solution delivery, including architecture, design, development, and testing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Perform code reviews, troubleshoot issues, and ensure best practices in ServiceNow development.
- Maintain documentation of architecture, solutions, and processes.
- Ensure platform performance, scalability, and data integrity.
You will be successful in this role if you have:
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5–8 years of hands-on experience with ServiceNow development and administration.
- Strong expertise in Integration Hub, REST/SOAP APIs, webhooks, and scripted integrations.
- Experience with Flow Designer, Business Rules, Script Includes, UI Actions, and Client Scripts.
- Solid understanding of ITIL processes and their implementation in ServiceNow.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
- Ability to work independently and in a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
- ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) and/or Application Developer.
- Experience with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Familiarity with JavaScript, Glide Script, and modern web technologies.
- Experience in integrating with platforms like Azure AD, Workday, SAP, or other enterprise tools is a plus.
