We are looking for a Senior Service Manager within Mill IT Services to join Stora Enso's global IT starting as soon as possible.
You will be joining the Business Unit Mill IT Services team with the vision of delivering “Trusted IT services and solutions that keep Stora Enso’s mills running smoothly and securely”. You will be reporting to the Head of Business Unit Mill IT Services.

Your role will be critical in this shift, as we embed AI, automation, and data-driven governance into the fabric of the organization.
Purpose
As the Senior Service Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that IT & Digital services and products within the BU West Infrastructure domain operate seamlessly, efficiently, and to the highest standards of quality and cost-effectiveness. You will oversee the full lifecycle of infrastructure-related services, from governance and performance monitoring to continuous improvement, ensuring they meet both business expectations, regulatory and IT security requirements. You form and lead persons/teams from external partners (mainly), and you will have strong mandate to build best fitting operating model BU West Infra Services meeting Stora Enso’s requirements.
You play a key leadership role in driving operational excellence and stability of IT & Digital services and products within mill IT environments. Your work ensures that Stora Enso’s digital foundation remains secure, reliable, and aligned with the evolving needs of the mills and business units. You take decisions that balance immediate performance with long-term enterprise value.
Your responsibilities
Take end-to-end responsibility for crucial IT & Digital services and products within mills, including delivery, efficiency, quality and continuous improvement in collaboration with all participating partners.
Oversee and ensure stable and efficient operations at mills, safeguarding production continuity through regular testing of IT services and products and proactive governance.
Monitor service performance against agreed standards, implementing ITIL processes according to Stora Enso’s governance model and ensuring compliance with all legal, security, and regulatory requirements.
Identify and implement opportunities to enhance service quality, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness, driving a culture of learning and innovation across the mills landscape.
Take ownership of service-related financials, including cost follow-up, budgeting, and capacity planning, ensuring transparency and alignment with business needs.
Partner with business and IT stakeholders to ensure that product and service roadmaps, development initiatives and demands are strategically aligned.
Lead the Problem Management process as Problem Owner, ensuring effective root cause analysis, structured resolution, and continuous prevention improvements.
Validate and approve new projects and services as they move into production, safeguarding quality and stability during transition.
Manage and responsible for accurate and up-to-date service catalogue content, documentation, and product descriptions.
What you bring
Proven experience leading complex IT and Digital product or service delivery in high-criticality and/or industrial environments.
Deep understanding of Industrial IT/OT operating environment and infrastructure including integrations to different systems. IT service management frameworks (ITIL) and experience ensuring service stability, quality, and efficiency is a clear advantage.
Strong ability to track and manage performance and budget targets.
Analytical and strategic mindset with a focus on continuous improvement and integration of best practices, including emerging technologies like AI and automation.
Strong insight into business processes and ability to translate needs into actionable improvements for services and infrastructure.
Ability to make clear, data-driven decisions and take accountability for results.
Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across IT, business, and external partners.
Experience leading teams through transformation and organizational change with clarity and purpose.
High integrity, resilience, and composure under pressure, maintaining focus on performance and outcomes.
Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey complex topics simply and effectively.
