Design, implement, and support security controls for the company. Work as the subject matter expert for assigned controls, consulting to architects, peers, and management on opportunities and challenges. Support incident response and production outages efforts.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
- With minimal supervision, maintain security controls at an operational level defined by management.
- Assist in designing and developing various security technologies at the infrastructure, platform, and application layers.
- Makes recommendations on best practices for configurations and operational enhancements.
- Work on call rotation for incident response and production outages.
- Conducts risk assessments, maturity evaluations, and threat modeling of security technologies.
- Support management with responding to regulatory and audit inquiries.
- Offers guidance and assistance to Security Engineers.
- Provide direction to associates seeking technical guidance.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
None
MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE & KNOWLEDGE:
- Appropriate networking skills to troubleshoot network flows, routing, packet captures, TCP/IP and SSL/TLS handshakes.
- Knowledge of server and workstation operating system security configurations.
- Expert knowledge on various security controls to include: firewalls, intrusion prevention systems, proxies/gateways, advanced end point security controls, certificate management, authentication solutions, data loss prevention, and identity access management

- Ability to work under stress and meet deadlines
- Ability to operate related equipment to perform the essential job functions
- Ability to read and interpret a document if required to perform the essential job functions
- Ability to travel if required to perform the essential job functions
- Ability to lift/move/carry approximately 10 pounds if required to perform the essential job functions.
