The purpose of this role is to be able to build a maximum of three high performing multi-discipline teams (usually of size 8-10) of developers, QA resources and testers in The SAFe Agile Scrum Development process. The Lead Scrum master will provide the coaching , mentoring and day to day governship of the Scrum process to ensure that all Agile development best practices are followed and the teams reach their full potential and are able to self-manage. If not directly mentoring more than one team, the Lead Scrum Master will be usually seen building and mentoring the team needed within the most complex area or with teams which have the most challenges to overcome to be highly performing. The Lead Scrum master will facilitate and drive the development of a consistent of processes across the department that creates the underlying Scrum Framework utilised by all members of the Scrum teams. They will own the Spint planning process for their own teams, building teams of self-organised resources , and defining/facilitating key processes such as the product backlog refinement, daily standups, sprint reviews and sprint retrospectives. Ultimately, the Lead Scrum Master must remove any impediments that are stopping the team complete the developments they have contracted to the Business will be delivered in the Sprint. The Lead Scrum Master will act as lead for the Scrum of Scrums meeting and will take the lead in educating other teams , in and outside of the department in developing agile processes, being able to act as an Agile Delivery lead for new implementations of Agile across the organisation.
Ownership ,and accountability , of establishing agile values, methods, principles and practices for delivery of products across their teams in complex areas (15%)
Building and coaching/mentoring of a self organised team in agile standards and best practices (15%)
Facilitate the creation of standard processes across the teams to provide a Scrum development framework (10%)
Lead the Sprint ceremonies such as daily standup, sprint retrospective, Sprint planning, user story refinement (15%)
Collaborate closely with Product Owner on the backlog management to ensure effective Sprint planning process (10%)
Lead the collaboration efforts with other Scrum Masters in Scrum of Scrums meeting to manage dependencies (10%)
Ensure the delivery of the user stories agreed to be delivered within the Sprint (10%)
Remove impediments with key stakeholders (10%)
Provide Agile delivery coaching outside of own teams for others, in and outside, of own department (5%)
5 to 8 Years of relevant work experience.
Bachelor's Degree with Computer Science, Information Systems or Business field of study required.
Other Education / Certifications: Certified Scrum Master

Consistent non-standard work or overtime as business requires.
May be located at the Clearwater corporate office or at the reseller location.
On-call availability required as necessary.
