Accountabilities
Facilitate lab supply ordering, restocking, and inventory management.
Responsible for coordinating lab equipment repair, purchasing, annual service, and preventative maintenance contracts.
Manage vendors for supply of dry ice, gas, PPE, and waste disposal.
Liaise with site IT to manage instrument data backup and application support.
Coordinate domestic and international shipping with couriers, lab employees, and receivers, obtaining import/export permits as needed.
Interface with building management and business operations to request facilities work orders, HVAC servicing, space scheduling, and report lab janitorial issues.
Maintain remote alarm systems for critical storage units. Must be capable and willing to respond to critical alerts outside normal business hours.
Partner with local EHS consultant and Global AZ SHE to create and maintain a workplace health and safety program according to federal, state, and local requirements. Perform annual review of EHS documentation and signage, updating as needed. Primary coordinator of fire safety training and fire drill management.
Submit annual hazardous waste summary and additional reports as needed through the EPAs RCRA reporting system.
Submit lab permit (HMIS) application and renewal to Seattle Fire Department.
Conduct periodic reviews of chemical inventory, PPE hazard risk assessment, biological hazards risk assessment, and other risk assessments as needed.
Essential Skills/Experience
Minimum of bachelor’s degree in scientific discipline or related area preferred
10+ years of experience in lab and facilities management within the pharmaceutical, biologics, or other related industries
Demonstrated knowledge of administrative management practices and procedures
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities
Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Team player with great people skills
Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
Manual dexterity required to operate office equipment (i.e. computers, phones, etc.)
Ability to lift at least 25 pounds

The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from $116,284.00 - 174,426.00 . Hourly and salaried non-exempt employees will also be paid overtime pay when working qualifying overtime hours. Base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In addition, our positions offer a short-term incentive bonus opportunity; eligibility to participate in our equity-based long-term incentive program (salaried roles), to receive a retirement contribution (hourly roles), and commission payment eligibility (sales roles). Benefits offered included a qualified retirement program [401(k) plan]; paid vacation and holidays; paid leaves; and, health benefits including medical, prescription drug, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms and conditions of the applicable plans. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
