In this essential role, we seek a creative and collaborative scientist to contribute to developing innovative medicines for patients suffering from neurological disorders. The Synaptic & Cellular Neurobiology Unit in the Neuroscience (NS) research department at Novartis Biomedical Research (BR) is looking for a Senior Scientist responsible for designing, executing, and delivering preclinical research results spanning both in vitro cellular models and in vivo animal models of disease, while working in a matrixed and collaborative environment. This role is being recruited for at either the Senior Scientist I (SS1) or Senior Scientist II (SS2) level, depending on the applicant’s profile & level of experience.

Role will be hired at either Senior Scientist I or Scientist II depending on experience/skills of candidate.
The salary for Senior Scientist I position is expected to range between $85,000 and $158,000 per year.
The salary for Senior Scientist II position is expected to range between $93,000 and $174,000.
The final salary offered is determined based on factors like, but not limited to, relevant skills and experience, and upon joining Novartis will be reviewed periodically. Novartis may change the published salary range based on company and market factors.
Your compensation will include a performance-based cash incentive and, depending on the level of the role, eligibility to be considered for annual equity awards.
