Role: Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer

We at Smith+Nephew, are seeking a talented Senior Salesforce Marketing Cloud Developer to empower our business operations team. The incumbent will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing marketing campaigns and automations, creating personalized content using AMPscript, SQL, and SSJS, and integrating the platform with other systems like Salesforce CRM. Key responsibilities also involve data management, campaign optimization, performance monitoring, and ensuring compliance with privacy regulations.
What will you be doing?
- Campaign and Automation Development: Design, build, and optimize multi-channel marketing campaigns (email, SMS, push, web) and automations using tools like Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Content Builder.
- Content and Personalization: Create dynamic, personalized email templates and content using AMPscript, HTML, CSS, and Server-Side JavaScript (SSJS).
- Data Management: Manage data extensions, contact models, and subscriber lists, and build SQL queries for segmentation and data management.
- Integration: Integrate Marketing Cloud with Salesforce CRM, other external systems, and data sources using APIs (REST/SOAP).
- Performance and Optimization: Monitor campaign performance, provide analytics, and optimize processes for better engagement and deliverability.
- Technical Expertise: Translate business requirements into technical solutions and troubleshoot technical problems.
- Collaboration: Work with marketing, sales, and technical teams to align strategies and ensure platform capabilities meet business needs.
- Compliance: Ensure campaigns adhere to data privacy regulations and internal policies.
What will you need to be successful?
- Education: Bachelor's degree in computer science, Software Engineering, Technology, or equivalent field (required).
- Licenses/ Certifications: Salesforce certifications –
- Marketing Cloud Developer (Required)
- Platform Developer I (Preferred)
- Email Specialist (Preferred)
- Sales Cloud (Preferred)
- SF Platform Developer II
- SF Administrator
- Experience: Should have a 5 to 8+ years of experience with Salesforce Marketing Cloud development and implementation.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in AMPscript, SQL, and SSJS. Strong knowledge of HTML and CSS is also required.
- Platform Knowledge: Hands-on experience with core Marketing Cloud tools like Journey Builder, Automation Studio, and Email Studio.
- Integration Experience: Experience with data integration, API management, and integrating with Salesforce CRM or other external systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Marketing Domain: Sound knowledge of digital and cross-channel marketing processes.
- Experience with web analytics tools like Google Analytics.
- Advanced Tools: Familiarity with advanced modules like Personalization (IS), Data Cloud, and Einstein.
- Engage with clients to derive requirements and consult clients on best practices
- Inspire and train clients on the digital transformation and capabilities of the Salesforce CRM/Marketing Cloud/Data Cloud eco-system.
- Cooperate with client marketing managers on daily bases to support adoption
- Provides constant consultations and training for campaign managers.
