WHAT IS THE OPPORTUNITY?
We are seeking a Salesforce DevOps Engineer to help automate and streamline the Salesforce development lifecycle. The role will focus on implementing CI/CD pipelines, managing release processes, and improving deployment reliability for Salesforce and nCino platforms.
This role is critical to:
Implementing true CI/CD with end-to-end automation from code commit to production
Reducing deployment cycle times by through automation and optimized processes
Establishing enterprise-grade sandbox strategies and environment governance
Enforcing automated quality gates, static code analysis (SCA), code coverage, and security scanning at every stage
The DevOps Engineer will focus on the following:
Drive cultural change toward automation and DevOps best practices
Automate IT processes and standardize the DevOps tool chain
Collect and report on metrics across Dev, Sec & Ops (deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR, change failure rate)
Incubate, release, and support development projects
Integrate toolsets to best support DevOps and continuous deployment
Ensure compliance with banking regulations throughout the deployment lifecycle
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
CI/CD Pipeline & Automation:
Design and manage enterprise-grade CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce deployments
Configure and maintain DevOps tools such as Copado, Autorabit, Flosum, or Gearset
Automate end-to-end deployment workflows
Automate deployments across development, QA, UAT, staging, and production environments
Implement automated rollback and disaster recovery mechanisms
Reduce manual deployment steps through automation
Version Control & Release Management:
Implement version control strategies using Git-based repositories
Support Salesforce developers with branching strategies, merge conflict resolution, and release management
Manage release trains and coordinate multi-team deployments
Coordinate with Change Advisory Board (CAB) for production deployments
Quality Gates & Security:
Implement automated testing and code quality checks in the CI/CD pipeline
Configure and enforce Static Code Analysis (SCA) tools: PMD, Checkmarx, CodeScan, or SonarQube
Integrate security scanning tools (SAST/DAST) to detect vulnerabilities before deployment
Enforce code coverage thresholds
Sandbox Strategy & Environment Management:
Design and implement comprehensive sandbox governance strategy with refresh schedules and automation
Manage full sandbox lifecycle across developer, partial, full, and scratch orgs
Manage environment synchronization and metadata deployment
Establish clear promotion paths
Monitoring & Continuous Improvement:
Monitor pipeline performance and troubleshoot deployment failures
Continually evaluate build and deployment procedures for opportunities to optimize, streamline, and automate
Track and report on key DevOps metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, MTTR, change failure rate)
Collaboration & Platform Engineering:
Partner with platform engineering teams to improve platform reliability and scalability
Enforce policies, standards, and procedures for best practices
Create and maintain comprehensive DevOps technical documentation
Support and continuously improve DevOps processes and procedures
Provide training and enablement to development teams
WHAT DO YOU NEED TO SUCCEED?
Must Have:
5–8 years of experience in DevOps, release engineering, or platform engineering
3+ years hands-on experience with Salesforce deployment tools such as Copado (preferred), Flosum, Autorabit, or Gearset
2+ years working in regulated industries (banking, financial services, healthcare, or insurance)
Proven track record of implementing CI/CD pipelines that reduced deployment times
Experience implementing end-to-end CI/CD pipelines for Salesforce with full automation
Expert-level knowledge of Git version control and branching strategies
Deep understanding of Salesforce metadata API, packaging, and deployment processes
Experience with Salesforce DX (SFDX), scratch orgs, and source-driven development
Knowledge of Salesforce governor limits, performance optimization, and platform constraints
Experience implementing Static Code Analysis (SCA) tools: PMD, Checkmarx, CodeScan, or SonarQube
Experience working within Change Advisory Board (CAB) processes
Understanding of audit trails, segregation of duties, and access controls
Strong communication skills to bridge technical and business stakeholders
Nice to Have:
Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools: Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps
Salesforce Administrator or Platform Developer I/II certification
Salesforce DevOps certifications (Copado Deployer, Autorabit Certified Professional)
Experience supporting nCino deployments in enterprise banking environments
Understanding of banking applications (Commercial Lending, Retail Banking, Wealth Management)
Experience with Salesforce Financial Services Cloud (FSC) or nCino platform
Knowledge of automated testing frameworks (Jest, Selenium, Apex Test Framework)
Knowledge of scripting/automation: Bash, PowerShell, Python, or Node.js
Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
Experience leading DevOps transformation initiatives
