Dow has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Sales Specialist located in Bogota (COL) for Dow Consumer Solutions Business.
About you and this role
You will work on market segment alignment is mainly in Personal Care but has potential and ability to touch several value centers. You will be responsible for managing existing and new customers relationships, selling Dow products and solutions while identifying new opportunities for unmet customers’ needs. Focused on the growth of market share participation and capture of new opportunities for the products within the business portfolio. Has knowledge of the key participants of the market share and be able to identify industry opportunities, customer needs and distributors resulting in sales and profitability of the business. Be able to energize, motivate towards sales results.
The ideal candidate should be energetic, collaborative, growth-focused and demonstrate a high bias for action. The Senior Sales Specialist engages with customers to understand their needs and drive innovation in targeted market segments to generate customer value and an unparalleled CX. The candidate must have the ability to establish trust, credibility and strong relationships with multiple stakeholders at accounts and internally at Dow.
Responsibilities:
Meet and exceed volume, revenue and profitability targets in alignment with regional marketing strategies.
Lead and coordinate customer relationships at multiple levels (Purchasing, Technical, Marketing, C-Suite). Acts as "Connector" to cultivate multiple cross- Dow/Customer relationships to grow business and deliver improved CX.
Uses account planning tools, margin management tools, and electronic technology to develop and share account plans with appropriate stakeholders.
Defines annual, value-creating goals consistent with long term business strategy.
Develops and builds relationships with internal and external customers and influencers.
Produces appropriate sales forecasts and is able to capitalize on/ compensate for market changes.
Recognizes, anticipates, and solves customer problems resulting in business opportunities and revenue growth.
Achieves sales goals and objectives in assigned territory as derived by business strategies and marketing plans.
Possesses a thorough knowledge of assigned Dow products and targeted applications.
Understands and proactively analyzes customer’s product and service needs, industry, and business.
Dow solution selling can include selling to direct, indirect (distributors), and internal clients of varying sizes and needs.
Use CRM, DSR, CMT, Smart Pricing at “expert” level. Utilize CRM to document reports of call and document all selling opportunities.
Responsible for Colombia, Caribbean and Central America accounts.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering and Business administration or related fields.
Languages proficiency: English (Advanced), Spanish (Advanced).
Experience dealing with customer relationship and business discipline scenarios.
3- 5 years of sales experience: handling, managing and developing complex customers.
Desired experience in Personal Care
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 30% of the time.
