Job Summary
The Senior Sales Design Specialist will work in conjunction with the sales team to promote tapered insulation services and products within the specified region. This role will also work cross functionally with other teams (Building Science, Marketing, and Care Teams) by supporting the department's promotional, training, and educational goals.

Essential Duties

  • Sales:
    • Work with local sales reps to develop relationships with contractors.
    • Support lead generation efforts by sales reps and contractors.
    • Provide technical support for Territory Managers and Contractors.
    • Provide guidance on the RFQ process Follow up on targeted sales opportunities.
    • Track secure and lost opportunities.
    • Provide feedback on lost opportunities.
    • Promote department services to Territory Managers and Contractors.

  • Design:
    • Drive spec position with Architects with project planning assistance.
    • Identify design trends and preferences for the specified region.
    • Assist Architects and Roofing Consultants with conceptual design.
    • Provide accurate insulation quotations for roofing contractors, suppliers, and architects.
    • Lead virtual meetings to clarify design, logistics, and installation questions by asking.
    • Probing questions to obtain specific project information.

  • Training:
    • Provide sales and installation training for Territory Managers and Contractors.
    • Drive spec position with Architects with AIA presentations.


Qualifications Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Arts/Sciences (BA/BS) in Engineering, Architecture, Applied Science or Technology Required or

  • Associate’s Degree (AA) in Engineering, Architecture, Applied Science or Technology Required

  • 5 or more years of relevant work experience Required

  • Knowledge of Taper-Plus and AutoCAD is required 5+ years of technical and professional knowledge of the roofing industry

  • Ability to read and interpret architectural plans and specifications

  • Time management, organization and efficiency skills

  • Strong attention to detail and sense of urgency Ability to handle multiple tasks/projects simultaneously

  • Building strategic working relationships

  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.


Travel Requirements: 20%

Base salary and/or rate of pay ranges listed are exclusive of fringe benefits and potential bonuses. Individual compensation offers will be determined based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to geographic location, relevant candidate experience and skill, education, and/or qualifications.

Base Salary Range: $94,500-$120,750
