Senior Safety Compliance Lead

A Snapshot 

As the Safety Compliance Lead you will work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways.  

The Safety Compliance Lead ensures AirTrunk remains ahead of regulatory, customer, and ISO45001 requirements across all jurisdictions. Operating as a specialist in safety governance, compliance, and assurance, the role provides proactive oversight of legal changes, customer obligations, and internal controls—embedding compliance into AirTrunk’s systems, documentation, and operating practices. 

By supporting the Corporate Safety Assurance Program, leading internal audit activity, coordinating ISO certification requirements, and partnering with regional operations teams, this role plays a critical part in reducing operational, legislative, and reputational risk across AirTrunk’s rapidly expanding APJ footprint. 

Your Day to Day  

Compliance Oversight 

• Monitor, interpret, and track legal updates, WHS changes, and new or emerging standards across all enterprise jurisdictions. 
• Assess impacts of new regulations (e.g., guarding requirements, local WHS changes) and support integration into AirTrunk’s procedures, controls, and documentation. 
• Provide compliance advice, guidance, and forward-looking risk insights to leadership and site teams to support proactive decision making. 
• Manage AirTrunk’s online EHS legal compliance platform. 

ISO45001 Support & Audit Coordination 

• Support the planning, coordination, and execution of internal and external ISO45001 audits, including evidence collation, corrective action management, and close out verification. 
• Partner with sites to ensure consistent implementation of ISO processes and controls across AirTrunk’s growing regional operations. 
• Contribute to maintaining audit readiness year-round through systematic tracking of audit actions and trends. 

Safety Assurance Program 

• Develop and implement AirTrunk’s Enterprise Safety Assurance Program, ensuring each pillar is effectively embedded, monitored, and continuously improved. 
• Conduct corporate internal safety audits in alignment with the annual assurance schedule. 
• Track and verify close out of corrective actions and maintain transparent, auditable records. 
• Work with the Safety team and risk owning functions to develop and implement value adding assurance tools to allow the business to make data driven decisions.  

Customer Alignment & Assurance 

• Review customer SLA safety requirements and ensure AirTrunk systems are designed and update to ensure that we meet—and where possible, exceeds—contractual expectations. 
• Support responses to bids, customer onboarding, and assurance queries relating to safety systems, compliance status, and competency governance. 
• Provide accurate, timely customer facing evidence relating to ISO, audits, and compliance performance. 

Safety Systems & Governance 

• Work closely with the corporate safety team and site teams to embed compliance requirements into AirTrunk Safety Management systems. 
• Maintain consistency and quality of safety documentation, procedures, standards, and recordkeeping practices. 
• Drive the uplift of governance processes and system maturity across the safety function. 

Requirements  

Essential 

• Demonstrated experience in safety compliance, WHS legislation, ISO45001, risk management, or safety governance within high-risk or regulated industries. 
• Strong capability in interpreting legislation, standards, and customer requirements. 
• Experience supporting internal/external audits or assurance programs. 
• Ability to translate regulatory and audit insights into practical operational guidance. 
• Strong attention to detail, analytical capability, and structured documentation skills. 
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders across regions. 
• Formal lead audit qualifications. 

Desirable 

• Experience in data centres, critical infrastructure, construction, engineering, manufacturing, or similar technical environments. 
• Experience with Safety Management Systems or digital assurance platforms. 
• Experience supporting multicountry operating environments (APJ preferred). 
• Understanding of customer SLA frameworks and external assurance processes for large enterprise clients.
