The Role

This is a key position in our UK Royalties team reporting to the Senior Manager, UK Royalties and Client Services. This role is for a 9 month parental leave cover and will work alongside a team of royalty experts with joint focus on providing our clients with accurate and timely royalty payments.

We are searching for an experienced royalty specialist who has experience undertaking royalty closes and payment processes, an understanding of compliance and control measures and providing an exemplary service to clients.

The position is rich in opportunity for involvement with the company’s biggest clients, SOX controls execution and managing the UK royalty payment process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the royalty payment process to our UK clients.

  • Ensure compliance and control procedures related to royalties are executed.

  • Ad-hoc complex royalty query and adjustment calculation.

  • Review of financial advances and transactions.

  • Producing regular finance cash forecast information.

  • Key stakeholder in royalty system technology changes.

  • Managing quarterly royalty close process.

  • Creating relevant approval documents for VP UK & European Admin and General Manager & Finance Director.

Skills and Experience Required

Must Have

  • You will have a minimum of 2 years of related work experience in a music publishing royalties role.

  • An understanding of royalties and finance processes within Music Publishing.

  • Experience undertaking compliance and control processes including SOX.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required.

  • Experience using Microsoft Excel, Outlook and SAP.

  • Understanding of music publishing income streams including collective management organisations, Performing Rights Organisations and Digital Service Providers.

  • Strong organization skills, critical thinking, analytical abilities, and attention to detail are required.

  • Ability to meet deadlines quickly and accurately while managing competing priorities is required.

  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
