Senior Risk Model Data Analyst – Business Lending (BOOST)

As a Senior Risk Model Data Analyst within Tribe Business Lending, you play a central role in enabling data‑driven digital lending journeys across loan origination, in‑life management, and risk monitoring. You are responsible for analysing and shaping the data underpinning the (re)development and implementation of regulatory rating models, credit decision models, and in‑life management models.
Operating at the intersection of credit risk modelling, data engineering, regulatory delivery, and business decisioning, you act as a subject‑matter authority on risk data, model inputs and outputs, and their translation into production, reporting, and regulatory use.
Roles and responsibilities
As a Senior Risk Model Data Analyst you will be:
Acting as a key contributor to the implementation and change initiatives of regulatory rating models, credit decision models (used in the loan application journey) and in-life management models (e.g. early warning) used across Business Lending segments.
Responsible for connecting the decision/risk rating topics to the business lending journeys, in close collaboration with the involved customer journey experts, Wholesale Bank and COO/Risk organization
Challenging, reviewing and following up on the monitoring reports and findings from Model Development, Model Validation, CAS and ECB
Representing Tribe Business Lending in the scoping board and in interactions with internal and external regulators
Partnering with engineers, modellers, and IT to safeguard robustness of end‑to‑end data flows and architectures.
Your day‑to‑day work focuses on delivering analyses and insights that steer the operational, commercial, and risk performance of Business Lending. In parallel, you drive initiatives to make lending journeys more data‑driven by designing, coordinating, and delivering high‑quality datasets for modelling purposes. You organise the ingestion of data into the data lake, act as a data steward, and proactively analyse and improve data quality.
The team
As a Data Analyst, you will be part of Tribe Business Lending Netherlands. In scope are business lending customers from Self-employed to Mid Corporate, and Private Banking mainly for Commercial Real Estate. You support our purpose: “Focus on easy, smart and personal E2E business lending journeys”. We empower entrepreneurs to stay a step ahead with easy, smart and personal business lending services. You will be working in an Agile environment by being a member of the BOOST team, consisting of 8 highly skilled colleagues (5 data analysts, 1 CJE, 2 data engineers). Your colleagues will have a background in Process management, IT, Data Analytics/Management in the business and risk domain. You work closely with the colleagues from Sales, Pricing, Operations, Credit Risk and Finance.

Master’s degree in Mathematics, Econometrics, Computer Science, Information Management, AI, Statistics or alike, and/or equivalent experience within data reporting, statistics and modeling.
3+ years experience as Data analyst.
You are analytically strong and are a star in accessing and solving problems, making analyses, and sharing results with impact
You have experience with querying languages (e.g., SQL, SAS) and dashboarding tooling (e.g. Cognos Analytics, PowerBI)
Affinity or experience with Business Lending and Credit Risk Management
To be able to influence and convince not only peers but also the stakeholders based on analytical results
Communicatively strong, team player and someone who takes initiative and ownership
