General Description:

The fundamental objective of the Company’s risk management program is to support shareholder value growth while ensuring commitments to customers are met, and reputation and capital are protected. The Risk Management function oversees the Company’s enterprise risk management (ERM) program, setting policy and overseeing risk-taking activities.

Reporting to the Chief Risk Officer, the Senior Risk Manager plays a critical role in overseeing the implementation and continuous enhancement of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework across the organization. This position ensures that risk exposures—strategic, market, credit, product, and operational — are identified, assessed, monitored, and reported in alignment with the company’s risk appetite and regulatory requirements. The role partners with business units and control functions to embed a strong risk culture and provide proactive risk advice to support high quality, sustainable growth.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) Oversight
    • Assist in the execution of the ERM Framework, ensuring effective management of strategic, market, credit, product, and operational risks.
    • Align risk management practices with corporate strategy, policies, and regulatory standards.
  • Risk Assessment & Monitoring
    • Conduct and review risk assessments for new and existing products, services, and change initiatives.
    • Oversee Risk and Control Self-Assessments (RCSA), Process Criticality & Inherent Risk Assessments (PCIRA), and Key Controls Testing (KCT).
    • Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs), operational incidents, and mitigation plans to ensure timely resolution and adherence to risk appetite.
  • Governance & Reporting
    • Prepare and present risk reports for senior management, Risk Committees, and Boards (including quarterly risk outlook and ORSA reports).
    • Provide secretariat support for Risk Management Committee meetings and ensure timely escalation of material risks.
  • Business Continuity & Operational Risk
    • Oversee Business Continuity Management (BCM) for non-tech processes and ensure readiness for crisis scenarios.
    • Drive operational risk initiatives, including incident management and corrective action plan (CAP) validation.
  • Policy & Framework Development
    • Develop, implement, and maintain risk management policies, standards, and methodologies in line with global and regional guidance.
    • Support governance of outsourcing and third-party risk management (TPRM).
  • Risk Culture & Training
    • Promote a strong risk-aware culture across the organization through training, engagement, and capability-building programs for risk champions and business leaders.
    • Conduct annual risk culture assessments and lead awareness campaigns.
  • Strategic Partnership
    • Collaborate with business units and control functions to identify, measure, and manage emerging risks.
    • Provide proactive risk advice and challenge to ensure sound decision-making and high quality, sustainable growth.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduate of a 4-year course
  • Proven ability to analyze complex risk issues and provide actionable recommendations.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
  • Note: open to hire candidates with no insurance background
  • Focus on financial risk and product risk expertise

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Risk Management, Economics, Actuarial Science, or related field; advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CPA, CFA, CRM, ISO 31000) preferred.
  • Minimum 7–10 years of experience in risk management within financial services or insurance industry.
  • Strong knowledge of ERM frameworks, operational risk practices, and regulatory requirements.
  • Proficiency in risk systems and tools (e.g., Archer, risk analytics platforms).
