AV is growing, and we are seeking a Sr. Accounting Analyst to work with our Revenue Team. We're looking for a proactive, detail-oriented Senior Accounting Analyst to join our Revenue Accounting team. In this role, you'll support accurate and timely revenue recognition in accordance with U.S. GAAP (ASC 606) and government-contracting requirements. You'll own key aspects of revenue accounting and project setup, contribute to the monthly close, and partner closely with Program Controls, Contracts, Accounts Receivable, and Finance to resolve issues and improve processes, including supporting an ERP migration to Oracle Fusion. Position Responsibilities

  • Review customer contracts and task orders to determine appropriate revenue recognition treatment under ASC 606, including performance obligations, revenue timing, and billing considerations.
  • Support project and contract setup in the ERP system, including revenue methods, billing schedules, funding profiles, and closeout requirements.
  • Prepare and review revenue-related journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules as part of the monthly close.
  • Perform monthly revenue and margin analysis, investigating variances and partnering with Program Controls to validate results.
  • Collaborate with Contracts, Program Controls, and Accounts Receivable to support accurate billing, contract modifications, and contract closeout activities.
  • Execute and document SOX-compliant controls related to revenue and support ongoing control enhancements.
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparing audit schedules, responding to inquiries, and maintaining clear documentation.
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives, system enhancements, and automation efforts related to revenue accounting and reporting.
  • Provide ad hoc analysis and support for cross-functional partners and leadership, as needed.
  • Participate in cross-functional projects and assist with other accounting initiatives as the organization continues to evolve.


Basic Qualifications (Required Skills & Experience)

  • CPA or progress toward CPA.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or Finance required.
  • Minimum of 4+ years of experience in accounting.
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, and reconciliations
  • Experience with large ERP systems (Oracle Fusion, Workday, Unanet) and strong Excel skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional partners.
  • ITAR: U.S. Citizenship required and must have the ability to obtain a security clearance


Other Qualifications & Desired Competencies

  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. GAAP, with experience applying ASC 606.
  • Familiarity with SOX/internal controls and public-company audit requirements.
  • Experience in the aerospace & defense and/or government-contracting industry, including project-based accounting and contract lifecycle support.
  • Experience supporting ERP implementations (Oracle Fusion), enhancements, or system integrations.
  • Ability to independently resolve moderately complex revenue accounting issues and appropriately escalate higher-risk or novel matters.
  • Demonstrated ownership mindset, attention to detail, and ability to operate effectively in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Strong communication (both written and verbal), and interpersonal skills.


Location Requirement
This position is mainly remote with the ability to be onsite 2-4 days per month. Candidates must be based in or willing to commute to any major AV/BH location.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit, stand, stoop, reach, lift (up to 10 lbs.), bend, etc. Hand and wrist dexterity to utilize the computer.

Environmental Conditions Critical to Performance

  • Work is in an office environment, climate controlled through central air conditioning/heating.

  • Must meet ITAR requirements: U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card holder), or protected status under 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3).

The salary range for this role is:

$98,432 - $139,650
