This role is based in Business Strategy & Operations (BSO) which serves as the strategic backbone and operational enabler for Product Development Data Sciences (PDD). The function ensures organizational excellence through robust quality frameworks, optimized resourcing, and aligned strategic execution. BSO brings together cross-functional capabilities across quality and compliance, workforce planning, and strategic operations to empower leaders and teams to deliver with focus, transparency, and accountability. By connecting enterprise priorities with operational realities, BSO drives consistency, clarity, and coordinated progress across PDD and the broader development organization.

The Opportunity: 

Resourcing & Metrics Specialists within the Business Strategy & Operations (BSO) function plays a key role in supporting effective resource planning, contractor management, and headcount tracking across Roche’s PDD portfolio. These roles contribute to workforce planning, budget tracking, and capacity insights by maintaining accurate data and partnering closely with Finance, HR, and functional leads. As part of the Resourcing & Metrics team, Resourcing & Metrics Specialists ensure transparency, operational excellence, and timely resourcing decisions across a dynamic portfolio of work.

  • You lead coordination of resourcing data across PDD functions, serving as a trusted partner to Finance and functional heads in headcount planning

  • You demonstrate deep understanding of resourcing and metrics data, enabling you to explain insights and trade-offs clearly to functional and senior leaders

  • You maintain and evolve workforce analytics and sourcing dashboards, ensuring insights are actionable and aligned with leadership priorities

  • You provide expertise in managing end-to-end contractor lifecycle processes and external staffing metrics

  • You identify trends, gaps, and risks in workforce allocation and provide recommendations for optimization

  • You serve as a key contributor to annual and quarterly budget planning cycles from a resourcing lens

Who you are:

  • You hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, HR, Finance, or a related field (Master’s preferred)

  • You bring a minimum of 5 years of experience in workforce planning, sourcing analytics, or business operations; or an advanced degree with 3 years of equivalent work experience

  • You have a proven ability to synthesize resourcing data into actionable insights

  • You are experienced in coordinating planning processes across multiple stakeholders and systems

  • You are proficient in enterprise planning tools and workforce analytics platforms (e.g., Anaplan, PowerBI)

  • You demonstrate capacity for independent thinking and the ability to make decisions based upon sound principles

  • You show excellent strategic agility including problem-solving and critical thinking skills, and agility that extends beyond the technical domain

  • You demonstrate respect for cultural differences when interacting with colleagues in the global workplace

  • You have excellent verbal and written communication skills, specifically in the areas of presentation and writing, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts in clear language

Preferred:

  • Experience partnering with Finance or HR in a matrixed or global organization

  • Familiarity with workforce or budget planning cycles in the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry

  • You proactively develop and drive data driven insights to collaborate across functions to cascade resourcing insights, ensuring consistency, accountability, and alignment in decision-making

The expected salary range for this position based on the primary location of Mississauga is 115,328.00 and 151,368.00 of hiring range. Actual pay will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors as determined by the company.
