Pay Rate: Up to £36000 (depending on experience) + £6000 sleep ins

Job Description:

Liquid Personnel are seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Support Worker to join its client's residential care team for children and young people. This role involves providing high-quality care, leading shifts, and supporting the development of both residents and staff within a therapeutic environment.

What will your responsibilities be?

  • Lead and supervise shifts, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations.
  • Provide direct care and emotional support to children and young people.
  • Act as a role model, promoting positive behaviours and independence.
  • Support staff through guidance, mentoring, and on-the-job training.
  • Assist with care planning, risk assessments, and record-keeping.
  • Respond to challenging situations calmly and professionally.
  • Work collaboratively with external professionals and agencies.

Qualifications & Experience:

To be successful in this role you must have, 

  • Previous experience in residential childcare (minimum 1–2 years).
  • NVQ Level 3 in Children & Young People or equivalent (essential).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and sleep-ins.
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting welfare.
