Accountabilities
As a Senior Research and Translational Project Manager, you will lead projects or workstreams within larger delivery programs. Collaborate with project teams to support the development of pipeline projects from initiation through all research stages. You will be responsible for developing and delivering solutions within approved budget and schedule commitments, adhering to established project management standards while contributing to the ongoing development of project management capabilities.
Coordinate with internal partners to facilitate project strategy development across multiple phases of the project life cycle.
Support Research and Development Lead in identifying cross-functional deliverables required for project progression; coordinate with relevant teams to ensure delivery within prioritized timelines/budget.
Support the Translational Medicine Lead within the Science Sub team to track assay development, biomarker testing, and pathogen resistance monitoring throughout clinical development stages.
Lead changes to project scope, ensuring all impacts and changes are approved and communicated to partners and review boards.
Manage external engagements (CROs, academic laboratories, vendors) to support R&D and Translational Medicine scientific leads in alignment with internal project goals.
Prepare and distribute meeting agendas, minutes, actions, and decisions. Ensure documentation of, and access to, key project documents, presentations, and data.
Essential Skills/Experience
Degree or equivalent experience in Microbiology, Virology, Immunology, Project Management, or a related area
Previous experience in a scientific research role and project management is highly desired.
7 plus years’ experience required.
PMP Certification highly desired
Experience and/or familiarity with operational aspects of drug development and clinical studies is a plus.
Ability to build, coordinate, and maintain a project plan and rapidly respond to changes in strategy and project scope.
Experience with MS Project and/or Planisware is a plus.
Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to deliver high quality work against tight timelines.
Demonstrated ability to take on multi-tasks and to complete effectively with a good sense of priority under limited mentorship.
Strong oral, written, and communication skills.
Ability to interact successfully with multiple customers.
Good interpersonal skills and ability to act as an ambassador for Early Vaccines and Immune Therapies internally and externally.
Desirable Skills/Experience
Demonstrated experience tracking assay development, biomarker testing, and pathogen resistance monitoring.
Experience working with contracting, purchasing, and payment systems.
The annual base pay (or hourly rate of compensation) for this position ranges from 134,866.40 - 202,299.60 USD Annual (80% - 120%). Our positions offer eligibility for various incentives—an opportunity to receive short-term incentive bonuses, equity-based awards for salaried roles and commissions for sales roles. Benefits offered include qualified retirement programs, paid time off (i.e., vacation, holiday, and leaves), as well as health, dental, and vision coverage in accordance with the terms of the applicable plans.
