Brief Overview

The Senior Relationship Strategist is responsible for driving UHNW and Family Office client acquisition within the specialized market by identifying prospective clients whose financial needs align with the bank’s capabilities. This role emphasizes proactive prospecting, strategic collaboration with internal partners, and thoughtful engagement with business leaders, entrepreneurs, and multigenerational families.

The SRS plays a critical role in building a robust pipeline, advancing opportunities, and ensuring seamless handoff to Private Client Advisors, Relationship Managers, and Wealth Advisors once opportunities are fully developed.

SRS team members uphold a culture of disciplined sales execution, strong risk management, and adherence to compliance standards while representing the bank within the community.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure disciplined prospect coverage through structured calling efforts, a deep understanding of UHNW clients’ strategic and financial objectives, and collaboration with product partners to identify opportunities to deliver the full capabilities of the bank.
  • Develop and maintain a robust UHNW prospect acquisition pipeline focused on specialized entrepreneurs, family enterprises, real estate owners, and cross‑border families.
  • Effectively transfer qualified opportunities to Private Client Advisors, Relationship Managers and Private Bankers for onboarding and long‑term relationship management.
  • Embrace the firm’s Sales Excellence framework to ensure consistent prospect engagement and alignment with product partners in delivering tailored UHNW banking, lending, investment, and family office solutions.
  • Demonstrate a natural disposition toward achieving production goals, calling metrics, and pipeline development expectations.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of private banking products, credit structures, wealth planning concepts, financial markets, and relevant regulatory considerations.
  • Stay current on business, cultural, and economic trends within the specialized UHNW community to enhance relevance and credibility with prospects.
  • Surface issues and provide feedback to appropriate corporate leaders to support continuous improvement in UHNW sales strategy and execution.
  • Represent the bank in  business associations, community organizations, and events to strengthen brand presence and expand networks.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or related field/experience.
  • Minimum of five years of UHNW/private banking, commercial banking, or relevant business development experience; experience serving specialized clients strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform in a dynamic, growth‑oriented environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with prospects, internal partners, senior leadership, and UHNW families and Family Offices.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, identify issues, and drive solutions.
  • Proficiency in CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) and MS Office products (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) strongly preferred; cultural fluency within the specialized segment communities is essential.
