Senior Regulatory Engineer
What you will do
Senior Regulatory Engineer provides Approvals and Renewals Support for New Product Development and Sustaining efforts in both the domestic and international markets for fire suppression products. Provide direct project support for registration and licensing globally by interacting with the regulatory, compliance, government, and other 3rd party agencies.
How you will do it
- Working with the legal/regulatory team to identify relevant global or local standards and/or approvals/renewals required
- Working with in-country third party representatives to understand the regulatory landscape and coordinate the application process when necessary.
- Interpret/Analyze product standard requirements and advise engineering teams to ensure regulatory compliance
- Interfacing with engineering or other functional areas on document compilation or test plan execution in support of product applications or demonstrations of compliance
- Building plans to demonstrate compliance and secure approvals in a cost- and time-efficient manner, including consideration of any applicable precedents
- Perform agency follow up services for our products.
- Assessing project scope, cost, risk and timeline relating to regulatory compliance
- Developing internal compliance policies and procedures.
- Automate processes to reduce efforts and increase efficiency.
What we look for
Required
- Minimum bachelor's degree in engineering or related field
- 6+ years’ experience in the regulatory field related to fire and security.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, being able to communicate effectively with a global engineering team.
- Sound decision making and organizational skills
- Ability to partner and lead small teams to deliver project objectives
- Self-motivated and able to handle tasks with minimal supervision
- Proficiency of MSOffice
Preferred
- Experience in working with agencies for fire suppression products
- An understanding of fire suppression codes and standards of various regions
- Experience working with UL, FM, BRE, VDS and other regulatory agencies across the globe.
