Salary: Up to £48,940.00 per year (depending on level of experience, training and qualification)

We have an opportunity for a Senior Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the Oncology department.
This is a full time role for 37.5 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Duties of this role include:
- Deliver Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT) safely and effectively in line with national guidance, local policies, and competency frameworks.
- Undertake comprehensive patient assessments, including pre-treatment review, toxicity assessment, and ongoing monitoring throughout treatment cycles.
- Provide clinical leadership and day-to-day guidance to junior nurses and support staff within the SACT service.
- Support induction, supervision, and competency assessment of nursing staff delivering SACT.
- Ensure compliance with SACT governance frameworks, including national chemotherapy standards, COSHH, and medicines management requirements.
- Participate in clinical audit, incident reporting, and investigation, contributing to shared learning and service improvement.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
- Registered Nurse (Adult) with valid NMC registration.
- Significant post-registration experience in oncology nursing.
- Level 6 or 7 qualification in the administration of Systemic Anti-Cancer Therapy (SACT).
- Proven experience delivering SACT independently and safely.
- Strong understanding of oncology pathways, treatment regimens, and supportive care.
- Demonstrable knowledge of clinical governance, patient safety, and medicines management.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support patients in emotionally challenging situations.
