The Opportunity

The Senior Recruitment Specialist will support the Head of Agency Recruitment in planning and executing various recruitment related initiatives to ensure a seamless and successful launch of recruitment initiatives and events across the nation. This role includes planning and executing on industry recruitment proposal and approval processes, project lead for recruitment related initiatives and enhancement, strategic planning and execution in driving headcount growth, coordinating with regional recruitment directors, supporting recruitment operational matters, and supporting the overall nationwide recruitment program to attract both organic and inorganic agents to join Manulife.  

Position Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for end-to-end process for all industry recruitment processes from proposal to approval from the management and on-boarding of the new candidate. 

  • Liase with related stakeholders including Recruitment Directors, Finance, Agency Services and relevant EXCOs for approval processes. 

  • Build and maintain strong industry recruit pipeline through industry networking. 

  • Constantly stay updated with industry offering updates and market intelligence. 

  • Strategic planning and execution of recruitment initiatives including Financing scheme enhancement, agency career site enhancement, E-recruitment platform enhancement, nationwide career fairs and recruitment events such as BOP, Career Fairs. 

  • Ensure this recruitment efforts align with the agency’s growth vision and mission to drive agency expansion. 

  • Develop and manage recruitment programs tailored to the needs of different recruitment profiles/segments, such as women, Gen-Z, professionals, etc. 

  • Track the recruitment pipelines from recruitment events to ensure results.  

  • Enhance the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the recruitment process, contributing to the agency's growth and success. 

  • Work closely with Recruitment Directors to monitor and track the performance of agents on financing. This involves regularly reviewing financing matrix and performance indicators to ensure agents meet their targets and adhere to company standards.  

  • Work closely with training team to oversee the development programs to support financing agents in achieving their goals and ensure timely & consistent communication to financing agents.  

  • Track, monitor and provide recruitment data (weekly and monthly), and report on the progress of recruitment initiatives and projects and suggest and recommendations for improvement. 

  • Track and monitor the recruitment funnel/ pipelines to ensure all prospects are followed up towards conversion to be contracted new agent. 

  • Provide recruitment updates for management and department meetings 

  • Work with data and digital teams to ensure automation and availability of relevant data through new digital portal for agents and agency leaders.  

  • Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the agency and identify opportunities for process optimization and operational efficiency. 

  • Continuously assess and refine recruitment strategies to improve organizational performance and competitiveness.  

  • Stay informed about industry trends and best practices to ensure the organization remains at the forefront of the market.  

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in management, business, marketing/events, or any other related field. 

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in insurance industry with Agency sales and recruitment related experience. 

  • Skills- strong organizational and multitasking abilities, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).  

  • Attention to detail, collaborative, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
