About your job 

As Senior R&D Engineer within Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and Additive Manufacturing (AM), your work focuses on simulation-driven design for tooling solutions, helping us optimize performance and reduce costs. Every day brings new challenges and opportunities to influence the future of machining.


Here’s what you do:

  • Use CFD to optimize coolant flow and improve tool performance.
  • Use structural optimization methods and advanced design for additive manufacturing.
  • Validate concepts through simulations and support product development with data-driven insights.
  • Develop processes, test prototypes, and ensure quality across materials and powders.
  • Drive technology improvements, investment projects, and share knowledge through workshops and training.

Location

You’re based at our headquarters in Fagersta, a modern production environment with access to advanced tools and equipment.

What we’re looking for

You bring strong expertise in simulations, CFD in particular, along with the ability to implement this in product development. Knowledge within additive manufacturing and optimization methods is highly meriting, and as well is familiarity with testing, quality assurance, and process improvement.

Success in this role means being proactive and independent – you’re comfortable navigating complex challenges and driving projects forward without waiting for instructions. You’re also curious about new technologies, eager to learn, and confident in sharing knowledge across teams.
