Senior R2R Accountant– Inventory & Intercompany Accounting

The team

We are seeking an experienced R2R – Record to Report having experience in handling Inventory and Intercompany Accounting. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting for global inventory and Intercompany transactions across multiple countries in EMEA region, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and compliance with accounting standards. This role requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage complex accounting.

 The role

  • Month/Quarter End Closing: Participate in month-end and quarter-end closing activities, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Balance Sheet Reconciliations: Perform balance sheet reconciliations for inventory and other relevant accounts.
  • Software Royalty Computation: Calculate software royalties and ensure accurate accounting
  • Monthly and Quarterly Inventory reconciliation
  • Ensure and calculation related to inventory reserves for On Hand, On Loan, and Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory are in alignment with the policy and demand plan.
  • Product Payments: Manage payments for Hitachi products and ensure accurate accounting.
  • Review and finalize Intercompany differences and reconciliations
  • Any ad hoc requirements may arise from time to time.
  • Perform inventory valuations, including calculating cost of goods sold, inventory obsolescence, and write-offs.
  • Ensure accurate COGS recording against revenue and guide the business team on purchase price variance.
  • Ensure calculation related to inventory reserves for On Hand, On Loan, and Excess & Obsolete (E&O) inventory are in alignment with the policy and demand plan.
  • RMA and Spares Accounting- Manage accounting for Returns Material Authorizations (RMA) and spares.
  • Intercompany Cross Charges: Manage intercompany cross charges and ensure accurate accounting.
  • Resale Minus Computation: Calculate resale minus and ensure accurate accounting.

What you’ll bring

Qualifications

  • CA or CA Inter or ICWA or MBA Finance with 5 - 10 years of work experience;
  • Working in Oracle ERP is an added advantage.
  • Must be comfortable in communicating directly with Business stakeholder, regional controllership and Business FP&A
  • Strong accounting and analytical skills, logical reasoning, and time-management skills
  • Strong business acumen and judgment and demonstrated ability to work closely and build sustainable business partnerships
  • Well-organized and detail-oriented to handle in-depth, special projects.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks ensuring that tasks are completed appropriately, and deadlines are met
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with financial accounting systems (Oracle, Hyperion, Essbase) will be an added advantage
  • Experience with global financial systems and processes (GFSS).
  • Familiarity with data analytics tools.
