What you’ll contribute to

An exciting opportunity has become available for a Senior Quality Planning & Audit Coordinator to join our Quality & Service team in a 12-month max term role with the potential to extend.

The Quality and Service Division is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing customer-first initiatives, including customer support, service operations foundations and training, in-field product performance and support, warranty management, quality planning, and engineering. The goal is to deliver optimized experiences, services, and products that retain customers for life, drive market growth, support profitability objectives, and strengthen the Toyota brand.

The Senior Quality Planning and Audit Coordinator is responsible for driving the continuous development and implementation of corporate quality compliance strategies, systems, policies, and plans. This role champions excellence and supports quality assurance across all Toyota products and services to enhance customer satisfaction and achieve Quality and Service objectives. Additionally, it focuses on building organizational capability and fostering a culture where quality is embedded in every process.

This role is based in Altona North, with flexible work arrangements available and requires interstate travel approximately 5-6 times annually.

Key Accountabilities

  • Lead Post-Production Operations (PPO) audits

  • Coordinate Regional Quality Meetings (RQM)

  • Chair the Quality Risk Committee

  • Maintain quality policies and procedures, and support Quality Management System (QMS) activities

How you’ll make an impact

  • Implement and audit agreed quality systems, processes, and procedures in line with established policies to identify process gaps and ensure compliance, supporting the achievement of Quality and Service objectives.

  • Provide guidance and support to managers in developing policies and standards that ensure compliance with Toyota Motor Corporation requirements and Australian regulatory obligations.

  • Contribute to the development and implementation of cross-functional Quality Risk Management initiatives and promotional activities. Coordinate and facilitate forums to ensure projects are delivered as planned. Identify issues and recommend appropriate countermeasures when necessary. Communicate plans, progress, and issues clearly to all stakeholders.

  • Maintain and update reporting systems to deliver accurate, timely information that supports business planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities.

  • Bachelor’s degree desirable, equivalent experience in quality and project management role

  • Extensive experience in the automotive industry or a similar sector

  • Proven ability to develop and implement quality management systems or corporate strategies

  • Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and process/system improvement methodologies

  • Demonstrated success in managing and overseeing major project components, including planning, resource coordination, reporting, issue resolution, and risk management
