The Opportunity:
CACI is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Quality Assurance Tester/Engineer supporting the Department of the Air Force (DAF) Enterprise IT as a Service (EITaaS) program. This role requires a deep understanding of comprehensive testing methodologies for physical hardware, associated software applications, and critical IT Asset Management (ITAM) processes. A specialized focus on validating the functionality, data integrity, and workflows within ServiceNow's Software Asset Management (SAM Pro) and Hardware Asset Management (HAM) modules is essential. The ideal candidate will thrive in an Agile environment, collaborating closely with development teams to deliver robust, high-quality solutions that meet stringent business and technical requirements.   

Responsibilities:

Comprehensive Test Strategy & Execution: 

  • Collaborate with product, development, and IT teams to understand complex hardware and software requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria within an Agile framework. 
  • Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for end-to-end solutions, encompassing hardware, software, and integrated systems. 
  • Participate actively in Agile ceremonies (sprint planning, daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint reviews) to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle. 

Hardware Testing Expertise: 

  • Perform in-depth functional, performance, reliability, and compatibility testing on various hardware asset management functions, workflow and solutions. 
  • Validate automated and manually maintained data related to hardware assets. 

Software Testing Proficiency: 

  • Conduct rigorous functional, regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing for software asset management functionality, workflow, capabilities and solutions. 
  • Identify, analyze, and document defects with clear, concise, and reproducible steps, managing their lifecycle effectively. 
  • Ensure software solutions meet performance, security, and usability standards. 

ServiceNow SAM Pro & HAM Module Testing Specialist:
 

Lead testing efforts specifically for ServiceNow's Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro) module: 

  • Validate software discovery, reconciliation processes, license compliance, and optimization recommendations. 
    • Test software entitlement management, contract tracking, and financial aspects within SAM Pro. 
    • Verify the accuracy of software usage data and reporting capabilities. 

Lead testing efforts specifically for ServiceNow's Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module (part of ITAM): 

  • Validate the end-to-end lifecycle of hardware assets (e.g., procurement, stockroom management, deployment, refresh, disposal) within HAM. 
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of hardware asset data (e.g., serial numbers, models, locations, status). 
  • Test integration points between HAM and other systems (e.g., procurement, CMDB, discovery tools). 
  • Verify the integrity and consistency of data flowing between SAM Pro, HAM, and the CMDB. 
  • Test custom workflows, reports, and integrations built upon the ServiceNow platform related to ITAM. 

Defect Management & Reporting: 

  • Utilize defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, or ServiceNow ITSM) to log, track, and manage issues. 
  • Generate comprehensive test reports, providing clear insights into test progress, defect status, and overall product quality to stakeholders. 

Test Automation (Preferred): 

  • Contribute to the development, maintenance, and execution of automated test scripts and frameworks for both hardware and software, where applicable. 
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous quality. 


Qualifications:

Required: 

  • U.S. citizen with the ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
  • 10+ Years of relevant experience (Bachelor’s Degree in applicable field may be substituted for 5 years of experience).
  • 5+ years of progressive experience in Quality Assurance or Software/Hardware Testing roles. 
  • Proven, hands-on experience testing both hardware and software systems, demonstrating an understanding of their complex interdependencies. 
  • Minimum of 2 years of dedicated experience testing within the ServiceNow platform, with specific, demonstrable experience in testing: 
  • ServiceNow Software Asset Management Professional (SAM Pro) module. 
  • ServiceNow Hardware Asset Management (HAM) module (part of ITAM). 
  • Strong understanding of IT Asset Management (ITAM) principles and best practices. 
  • Expertise in various testing methodologies (functional, non-functional, integration, system, regression, UAT). 
  • Demonstrated experience working in an Agile/Scrum development environment. 
  • Proficiency with test management and defect tracking tools (e.g., Jira, ServiceNow ITSM). 
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills with a strong attention to detail. 
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical issues clearly. 


Desired:

  • ServiceNow certifications, specifically: Certified Implementation Specialist – Software Asset Management (CIS-SAM), Certified Implementation Specialist – Hardware Asset Management (CIS-HAM), Certified System Administrator (CSA) 
  • ITIL Foundation certification. 
  • Experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Python, Selenium, Robot Framework, Postman/Newman). 
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (e.g., JavaScript, Python, PowerShell). 
  • Understanding of database concepts and SQL for data validation. 
  • Prior experience in Govt. Contracting

There are a host of factors that can influence final salary including, but not limited to, geographic location, Federal Government contract labor categories and contract wage rates, relevant prior work experience, specific skills and competencies, education, and certifications. The proposed salary range for this position is:

$75,200-$158,100
