Key Responsibilities
1. Incoming Inspection Execution
- Perform visual, dimensional, and functional inspection of incoming materials as per approved IQC procedures and sampling plans.
- Inspect materials such as:
- PCBs, substrates, trays, label tapes, antistatic bags
- Mechanical parts, indirect IQC materials
- Use inspection tools including:
- Stereo microscope (5x–50x), vernier calipers, gauges, OGP / measuring equipment (where applicable)
- Maintain lot integrity and ensure one‑lot‑at‑a‑time inspection team.
2. Documentation & System Updates
- Record inspection results accurately in:
- SAP / AT_MES / IQC inspection systems
- IQC checklists, CoC inspection forms, and local trackers
- Ensure correct lot status updates:
- Pending IQC, IQC In‑Process, Accepted, Rejected, Engineering Hold
- Attach inspection evidence (photos, measurements) as required.
3. Non‑Conformance Handling
- Identify and segregate non‑conforming materials.
- Raise IQC rejection / deviation records as per procedure.
- Raise defects to IQC Engineer / SQE / PDE with clear defect description and evidence.
- Support supplier issue analysis and 8D / CAPA follow‑ups when required.
4. Turnaround Time & Operational Field
- Support IQC TAT targets and inspection throughput requirements.
- Coordinate with Warehouse and multi-functional teams for:
- Material availability
- Sampling readiness
- Follow shift handover protocols to avoid inspection delays.
5. Safety, ESD & Compliance
- Technically follow:
- ESD controls
- PPE and safety work instructions
- Laboratory and equipment safety rules
- Immediately report:
- Safety hazards
- Equipment abnormalities
- Follow Micron Quality, EHS, and Record Retention policies.
6. Audit & Continuous Improvement Support
- Support internal, customer, and ISO audits by:
- Providing inspection records
- Explaining inspection methods clearly
- Participate in:
- 6S activities
- IQC process improvements
- Training and certification programs
- Support IQC automation, standardization, and localization initiatives when assigned.
Required Qualifications
Education
- Btech
- Electronics / Electrical / Production / Quality or equivalent
Experience
- 5 years confirmed experience in:
- IQC / QA / Manufacturing Quality / Inspection roles
- Semiconductor, electronics, EMS, or manufacturing industry preferred
Technical Skills
- Visual defect identification and measurement skills
- Basic understanding of:
- Engineering drawings
- Sampling plans
- Inspection criteria
- Hands‑on experience with microscopes and measuring tools
- Basic computer skills (SAP / MES / Excel / inspection systems)
Behavioral Competencies
