Fabletics is currently looking for a Senior QA Manager – Apparel Construction.
How do you fit in
The Senior QA Manager – Apparel Construction is a senior technical leadership role responsible for the operational execution of the company’s quality strategy and the day-to-day management of garment construction excellence across the global supply base.
This role ensures “Quality by Design” principles are embedded early in the product lifecycle and fully integrated into manufacturing execution. The Senior Quality Manager is accountable for product durability, construction integrity, and consistent high-level performance standards that protect brand equity, customer loyalty, and margin.
This leader holds authority over bulk production quality approval and escalation for high-risk construction issues and plays a critical role in reducing cost of poor quality while driving measurable performance improvements across strategic vendors.
This position will report to the VP, Vendor Quality & Compliance.
What you will do:
1. Technical Operations, Risk Mitigation & Business Impact
Manage the regional adoption and execution of technical quality standards and construction methodologies tailored for core, premium, and technical product tiers.
Own final production construction quality approval and escalation authority for high-risk issues that may impact bulk release, brand integrity, or customer satisfaction.
Lead the governance framework for CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Action), ensuring systematic closure of high-risk construction issues such as seam slippage, pattern defects, grading inconsistencies, and trim failures.
Drive measurable reduction in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) through defect prevention, rework minimization, improved first-pass yield, and systemic risk mitigation strategies.
Support and lead integration of advanced technologies, including AI-driven defect detection, digital pattern analysis, and data-driven quality dashboards into the quality workflow.
Partner with Technical Design and Product Development to embed construction quality checkpoints into PLM systems, digital tech packs, and 3D sampling workflows to ensure traceability from development through bulk production.
2. Team Leadership, Change Management & Cross-Functional Partnership
Own performance management and daily leadership of regional QA teams (including dotted-line oversight where applicable), driving competency modeling, succession planning, and technical upskilling.
Elevate team capabilities in garment engineering, statistical analysis, and construction troubleshooting through structured training programs.
Lead change initiatives to improve factory construction capabilities and elevate vendor technical standards across strategic partners.
Act as the primary bridge between Design, Technical Design, Product Development, and Sourcing to ensure construction quality requirements are embedded early in the product lifecycle.
Translate quality performance data into actionable insights for senior leadership, clearly linking construction quality to customer retention, return rates, durability performance, and margin protection.
3. Vendor Management & Process Excellence
Lead the quality component of the Strategic Vendor Management program, utilizing scorecards and measurable KPIs to drive construction performance improvements across the supply base.
Partner with strategic factories to elevate technical construction capabilities, training, and process discipline.
Direct application of Six Sigma and statistical methodologies at manufacturing sites to reduce variation, increase first-pass yield, and improve long-term process stability.
Ensure QA processes meet global safety, labeling, durability, and import regulations related to garment finishing and component integrity.
Champion durable construction as a core pillar of brand reputation and long-term sustainability.
Success Metrics
Reduction in construction-related customer returns
Improvement in first-pass yield rates across strategic vendors
Reduction in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ)
100% on-time CAPA closure for critical defects
Vendor quality scorecard improvements year-over-year

What you can bring:
8–10+ years of progressive experience in QA, Technical Design, or Manufacturing Engineering, with at least 3–5 years in a management capacity overseeing regional or global teams.
Deep expert knowledge in garment engineering, stitching methods, seaming techniques, pattern manipulation, grading, and construction troubleshooting.
Proven ability to manage quality control systems aligned with international standards (ISO, ASTM, AATCC) across diverse geopolitical environments.
Advanced proficiency interpreting and applying AQL (Acceptable Quality Limits) for large-scale international production and leading data-driven quality decisions.
Demonstrated success influencing cross-functional stakeholders and strategic vendors in high-pressure, global environments.
Bachelor’s degree in Textile/Apparel Science, Fashion Technology, or Manufacturing Engineering required.
Lean Six Sigma Green or Black Belt, Certified Quality Manager (CQM), or equivalent.
