Inform is a cloud-native Security Operations Center (SOC) incident management platform designed to automate, orchestrate, and optimize the detection, verification, and response to physical security events. The platform reduces time between incident detection and response by leveraging AI and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to quickly identify relevant information, inform users, and enable manual and automatic actions on realworld devices like doors and cameras.


Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior QA Engineer to join our dynamic R&D team in Vietnam.

In this role, you will be instrumental in ensuring the quality and reliability of our cutting-edge public safety and enterprise communication solutions through comprehensive system testing, meticulous manual testing, and effective defect management using JIRA.

You will contribute to the entire software development lifecycle, working closely with development, product, and project teams.

Job Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute detailed test plans, test cases, and test scripts for complex software systems, focusing on system-level testing.

  • Perform thorough manual testing to identify defects, inconsistencies, and areas for improvement across various functionalities, user interfaces, and performance aspects.

  • Collaborate closely with development teams to understand product requirements, specifications, and architecture, providing early input on testability.

  • Identify, document, and track software defects and issues using JIRA, ensuring clear and concise reporting, prioritization, and follow-up until resolution.

  • Participate in review meetings for requirements, design specifications, and test plans, providing constructive feedback.

  • Develop and maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test reports, defect summaries, and test coverage matrices.

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, methodologies, and best practices within the team.

  • Mentor junior QA engineers and share knowledge to foster a high-performing team environment.

  • Work effectively within an Agile/Scrum development methodology.

  • Conduct regression testing, integration testing, and user acceptance testing as required.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related technical field

  • 4 - 8 years+ of hands-on experience in manual, system, and integration testing

  • Demonstrated experience testing largescale, high-availability, distributed systems involving both hardware and software components

  • Proven track record with defect logging, triage processes, and working effectively with development teams

  • Working knowledge of test management tools (Jira, TestRail or similar)

  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) for collaboration and reporting

  • Experience working in an Agile development environment (Scrum/Kanban)

  • Strong attention to detail with excellent time management and organizational skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leveraging AI tools to enhance productivity and testing effectiveness

  • Understanding of test automation methodologies and principles

  • Familiarity with security, surveillance, or physical access control systems

  • Familiarity with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright) is an advantage
