Senior Quality Assurance Engineer
Your Impact as Senior Quality Assurance Engineer: What are you going to do
As a Senior QA Automation Engineer, you take a leading and proactive role in shaping quality across the organization. You do not wait for work to come to you—instead, you actively engage with teams, identify gaps, and drive improvements in testing practices and automation.
You define and implement testing standards and frameworks, and actively work across teams to understand their needs, challenges, and opportunities.
You work closely with development and QA engineers across teams, ensuring clear, high-quality test reporting in English. You play a key communicative and coordinating role, combining deep technical expertise with strong stakeholder management, attention to detail, and a proactive mindset. In this role, you collaborate closely with the other Test Environment Coordinator and Lead QA Engineers, and act as a senior sparring partner and coach within the QA domain.
Your impact as a QA Automation Engineer at Customer & Digital
You play a key role in improving the quality and stability of our digital platforms by:
Proactively reaching out to teams to understand their testing challenges and helping them adopt better practices
Driving organization-wide quality standards and automation strategies
Acting as a trusted advisor for QA, helping teams improve their maturity and effectiveness
Ensuring issues are not only solved, but structurally prevented through standardization and insights
Creating clarity and alignment across teams, especially in complex or disrupted environments
Your ability to take initiative, connect people, and drive improvements directly impacts developer productivity, product quality, and customer experience.
Key responsibilities include:
Define, implement, and continuously improve test automation frameworks and standards across C&D
Actively engage with teams to identify testing needs, gaps, and improvement opportunities
Proactively drive adoption of QA best practices and the NN QA Maturity Model
Design and implement automated tests across TEST and ACC environments
Build and promote reusable solutions and test automation patterns
Investigate recurring issues and initiate structural improvements
Monitor and improve collaboration and processes across TEST and Acceptance environments
Facilitate knowledge sharing within the Engineering Guild and Test Circle
Act as a coach and sparring partner for QA engineers and development teams
Take ownership of improving quality—not only technically, but also organizationally and culturally
The team you’ll join:
Every team that contributes to the TST, ACC and Production environments content is your partner in the day-to-day running – so that's a big group; but the coordination and your own team is the IT/Performance & Monitoring team of C&D. This core team deals with central solutions and problems regarding monitoring, performance and is currently investigating how the use of the Test systems can be improved, how QA Automation can be promoted as a shared knowledge center, and disruptions can be better managed. You report to the Manager of the Center of Engineering; the Lead Engineering Manager C&D, and work with the Product Owner of the Performance & Monitoring team using Agile methodologies and OKR approach.

Who You Are:
Fluent in English (spoken and written), with experience in international environments
5–7 years of experience in QA Automation / Test Engineering
Proven experience in setting up standards and frameworks across multiple teams
Strong experience with tools such as: JMeter, Playwright, BrowserStack, Azure DevOps Test Plans, JUnit, Typescript/CDK
Experience with DevOps and CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps)
Knowledge of monitoring/observability tools (e.g. Splunk) is a plus
Experience with Selenium, Appium, UIPath, Python, JavaScript is a plus
You are highly proactive and self-driven: you take ownership, seek out problems, and act without waiting for direction
You have a strong “reach-out” mindset and actively connect with teams to understand their needs
You are comfortable working in an organization-wide role, influencing multiple teams and stakeholders
You combine technical expertise with strong communication and stakeholder management skills
You have a continuous improvement mindset and enjoy driving change
You act as a leader in the QA domain, setting standards and guiding others
