The Role

SharkNinja is evolving its supply chain to meet ambitious right to repair standards around the world. We aren't looking for a theorist; we need a high-octane strategic sourcing professional in Shenzhen to be the "boots on the ground" catalyst within our global cross-functional team (ESG, Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality, Finance).

In this role, you are the critical link. You provide the field insights that allow the global team to design viable replenishment models. You don't just provide data; you own the sourcing implementation in Asia, with the authority to select the suppliers who will make this program a success.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Cross-Functional Problem Solving & Field Strategy
  • Strategic Contributor: Act as the Asia Supply Chain lead within the global task force. Help design replenishment models (e.g., MTS vs. MTO, traditional vs. additive manufacturing) by providing essential "reality checks" based on regional manufacturing constraints.
  • Granular Field Insights: Bring data-driven intelligence to the design table regarding:
    • Tier-1 vs. Tier-2 Dynamics: Identifying opportunities to bypass OEMs to source directly from component manufacturers for critical repair parts.
    • Operational Guardrails: Factoring in MOQs, spare part estimated end of life and shelf-life, and manufacturing lead-time realities.
    • Trade Logistics: Navigating export license requirements, tariff implications, and "total landed cost" hurdles.
  1. Sourcing Implementation & Awarding
  • Supplier Selection: Scout, vet, and select manufacturing partners in China (and potentially SEA) capable of supporting the unique agility required for an aftermarket/spare-parts supply chain.
  • Award Authority: Take full ownership of the decision-making process for awarding contracts. Ensure suppliers align with company targets on Cost, Quality, and Delivery within the specific context of the Repairability program.
  • Pilot-to-Scale Execution: Lead the initial sourcing implementation for Shark and Ninja pilot programs. Document every lesson learned to build the blueprint for a full-scale global rollout.
  1. Supply Chain & Inventory Optimization
  • Inventory Strategy: Partner with the global team to implement the replenishment process, ensuring the Asian-side leg is optimized for maximum inventory coverage and responsiveness with minimal waste.

Qualifications & Competencies

Experience

  • 8+ years in Strategic Sourcing, Global Supply Chain, or Operations, preferably within consumer electronics or small domestic appliances.
  • Deep expertise navigating the China supplier landscape; additional exposure to South East Asia (SEA) markets is a strong plus.
  • Experience managing aftermarket sourcing programs for a global brand is a strong plus.

Technical & Analytical Skills

  • Scenario Modeling: Proven ability to model "Make vs. Buy" and "Offshore vs. Near-shore" scenarios to justify strategic shifts.

Trade Expertise: Solid understanding of international trade dynamics, including tariff engineering and export restrictions.Soft Skills: Driving Results in a Matrix

  • Matrix Influence & Resilience: Exceptional ability to communicate complex Chinese manufacturing constraints to Western-centric teams (Engineering, Finance, ESG).
  • Proactive Ownership: Demonstrated resilience in driving cross-functional team members who may have competing priorities. You must be comfortable "overstepping" and asserting leadership to ensure the project stays on schedule and meets its strategic goals.
  • Language: Fluency in English is mandatory for global collaboration; Mandarin is a significant advantage for deep-dive negotiations with Tier-2 suppliers.
