The Senior Property Management Specialist provides advanced technical support to the Maricopa County Real Estate Department (RED) – Infrastructure Property Management Division. This position is responsible for divestments of county and special district owned property. Work includes reviewing deeds, appraisals, leases, easements, agreements, patents, contracts, and other real estate documents to ensure accuracy and compliance with County and District requirements.
The incumbent also administers the divestment, leasing, licensing, permitting, and management of County and Flood Control District real property, ensuring proper utilization and protection of public assets. Additional duties include conducting land rights research in support of property management, and disposition activities for various County and District projects.

We Require
Three years of professional experience conducting divestments for a governmental or quasi-governmental agency, which may include property acquisition or disposition, negotiations divestment in support of public agencies, public works, utilities, or quasi-public entities
Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Urban Planning
A combination of post-secondary education and/or job-related experience may substitute for the education requirement on a year-for-year basis.
Other Requirements
Successful candidates must currently possess, or have the ability to obtain, a valid Arizona Driver's license by the time of hire
We Also Value
Five years of experience working within a public agency performing multi-location infrastructure property management, including disposition, leasing, and title examination activities
Experience interpreting and applying real estate and property laws, rules, regulations, ordinances, and codes applicable to public agency operations
Experience drafting, reviewing, and preparing a wide range of real estate agreements and conveyance documents, including deeds, leases, licenses, and related instruments
Experience in property listings/marketing material
Experience reviewing appraisals and creating market analysis
Job Contributions
Create legal documents for disposition transactions, including permits, licenses, leases, sales, land right transfer/extinguishment, in accordance with applicable county and/or county special district’s policies/resolutions and Arizona Revised Statutes. Coordinate infrastructure property management related activities as it pertains to the noted real estate actions.
Research, read, analyze, and interpret a variety of public records, documents, title reports, legal descriptions, maps to identify vesting title, encumbrances, clouds on title, restrictions on title, legal description deficiencies, and quality of title to real property and real land property land rights.
Respond to questions, concerns from the general public and public agencies.
Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
Exerting up to 10 lbs. occasionally or negligible weights frequently; sitting most of the time.
Position is typically office or administrative work and is not substantially exposed to adverse environmental conditions.
