The Senior Property Claims Analyst will play a crucial role as part of a high-performing, results-oriented Risk Management Team. The Senior Property Claims Analyst will be accountable for all aspects of property claim recordkeeping including catastrophic and complex claims projects as well as maintaining accurate cost estimation of claims within the deductible.  This role also involves supporting coordination with all internal and external stakeholders to deliver exceptional services. The business partners may include Procurement, Legal, Accounting, Brand Services, IT, Resort Management, Sales & Marketing, Inventory Management, Architects, Interior Designers, Engineers, Contractors and Specialty Consultants. This role is hybrid in office Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and remote Thursday and Friday.

How You'll Shine:

  • Functions with autonomy to support property claims meetings, evaluation of causation and damages to determine potential exposure; coaching properties to set appropriate estimates to reflect probable outcomes; and taking appropriate action to help the properties move claims toward resolution.  Coordinates and liaises with internal and external project management, insurance brokers, adjusters and appropriate resort staff.

  • Maintain or capture new property data points such as valuations, claims, or organizational process improvements into the risk management information system (RMIS) to further drive analytics.

  • Maintain and provide daily loss reports reflecting aggregate claims activity, types of losses, location of losses, dollar amount of losses, payments received from insurance company and other information as necessary.

  • Assist in developing property underwriting submissions including gathering and assembling loss and exposure information from different segments of the company.

  • This position requires a proactive and collaborative mindset and the ability to work well in a team environment. Must have accountability to see that all responsibilities are carried out properly and expeditiously.

  • Other risk management and insurance responsibilities as assigned by the director risk finance.

Travel Requirements

  • Very minimal travel, with potential for site visits post business interruption or attending risk related training or conference

What You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree preferred in related field

  • Risk Management Information System (RMIS) experience preferred but not required. Associate in Risk Management (ARM) a plus but not required.

  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure and possess good written and oral communication skills.

  • Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel (intermediate), copilot a plus.

  • Prior experience in project management preferred. Cost Accounting experience is an advantage. 

  • Experience building and renovating in the Hotel, Vacation Ownership or Multi-Family Resort Fields is preferred. 

  • Knowledge in aspects of construction and renovation, including architectural, electrical, mechanical, plumbing and structural design is a plus.

  • 5 years of experience in either property claims management, accounting or project management preferably in the financial services and/or insurance industry. 

Experience equivalent to the education requirement may be accepted in lieu of the education requirement.
