Position: Senior Technical Project Manager
Grade: 6
Location: Bangalore (or Chennai)
Experience: 10 ~ 15 Years
Relevant Experience: Minimum 8 ~ 10 years of project manager experience.
Role Overview:
The Senior Technical Project Manager will lead complex, multi-track Type-1 projects, ensuring seamless coordination across technical, business, and client teams. They will oversee end-to-end project delivery, manage resources, budgets, and risks, and maintain stakeholder alignment. The role demands strong technical oversight, people management, and process excellence. They will drive innovation, compliance, and continuous improvement across teams. This position requires a proactive leader capable of handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced, client-facing environment.
Technical Skillset: (Data + Cloud GCP + GenAI + MLOps)
RAG, LLM, ML Lifecycle, MLOPs, Python, SQL, Pyspark, Airflow, Jenkins, Docker, GitLab, CI/CD, GCP Services: Data Proc, Cloud Run, BigQuery, Vertex AI, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Customer Feedback on Demos and deliveries: Gather and incorporate feedback from customers or end-users on multiple tracks in Type-1 project.
- Meeting Facilitation: Facilitate various project meetings, including demos, retrospectives and planning sessions on multiple tracks in Type-1 project.
- Hiring - Internal alignment with multiple internal stakeholder, follow up, approvals (SP agreement, EM approval, Grade approval, SR generate, Blocking on VZ code.)
- Continuous Learning: Stay updated on industry trends and best practices
- Training and Development: Provide training and development opportunities for team members in Type-1 project.
- Innovation: Encourage and drive innovation within the team.
- Fractal - Hiring/Staffing - backfills/ internal and external co-ordination.
- Internal alignment with multiple internal stakeholder, follow up, approvals (SP agreement, EM approval, Grade approval, SR generate, Blocking on VZ code.).
- Profile Screening & Project level interviews - Follow up with client for interview and feedback.
- Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors and manage their contributions to the project.
- Conflict Resolution: Mediate conflicts within the team or with stakeholders in Type-1 project on multiple tracks.
- Technical Oversight: Ensure technical solutions meet project requirements. (Reviewing, Mentoring)
- Issue Resolution: Address and resolve any issues or blockers that arise on multiple tracks in Type-1 project.
- Documentation: Maintain project documentation, including meeting notes and action items on multiple tracks in Type-1 project.
- Team Coordination: Facilitate coordination between cross-functional teams on multiple tracks in Type-1 project ( example Enterprise arc, DS, IT, Business, Data owners tc)
- Technical Reviews: Conduct technical reviews and code inspections with Tech Leads and developers
- Stakeholder Communication: Communicate project status and updates to stakeholders on multiple tracks in Type-1 project.
- Performance Metrics: Track and report on key performance metrics.
- Strategic Planning: Participate in strategic planning sessions to align projects with business goals.
- Tracking Story point consumption in Jira on multiple tracks in Type-1 project.
- Budget Tracking: Monitor project budgets and ensure spending stays within limits.
- Travel requests raise help / approvals etc
- New team member onboarding/Laptop issues/Offboarding.
- Do and Don't of Customer account / Escalation/ Mandatory trainings follow ups
- Proposal Building Session/ SOW drafting, understanding development with team/ RFP
- Project Planning: Estimation, Develop and update project plans and timelines. Project Execution and day to day operation on multiple tracks in Type-1 project.
- Task Assignment: Assign tasks to team members and ensure they understand their responsibilities
- Project new joiner checklist-DOs and DONTs to avoid any security breach
- Compliance Checks: Ensure the project complies with legal and regulatory requirements. (US, India, Telecom, Data, MSA, NDA, Asset Security)
- MSA: Master Service Agreement
- NDA: Non Disclosure Agreement
- SOW: Statement of Work (on Fieldglass, Salesforce portal)
- CR: Change Request
- KT and Questionnaire Coordination for Team members internal to project or external from project
- Create and maintain Project Onboarding Document for respective accounts/projects
- Fractal - EPRs, yearly appraisal co-ordination with project and RM team- for all project members team.
- EPR: Employee Performance Reviews (QTRLY - 4 quarters in a year-- Q1-Q4, Q1 JFM, etc)
- Growth portal yearly appraisal.
- RM : Resource Manager -- can be different that PM.
- NPS matrix from Clients follow up etc
- Bring in Fractal expertise/ Product collaboration / Senseforth / Fast API expertise
- Client-side mandatory training follow ups
- People management:
- Resource allocation: Allocate resources effectively to meet project goals.
- Reshuffling for optimal utilisation
- Leaves tracking
- Performance concerns from internal or external
- Skillset mismatch
- Escalation (internal or external)
- Mediate conflicts within the team or with stakeholders for Type-1
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies. Manage Issue and Dependency tracker on 2 tracks in Type-1 project.
- Tool Management: Manage project management tools and software. Jira management. Kanban management. Google Drive. Confluence.
- Daily Stand-ups: Attend and sometimes lead daily stand-up meetings with the project team on 2 tracks in Type-1 project.
- PMs+Lead+Developer- Candence- Daily Standup
- PMs+Lead-cadence- WSR, backlog refinement, Scope (for example -AMJ)
- Delivery head + Account Head+ Lead+Sr Eng - cadence
- Demo calls with clients
- Multi vendor calls for co-ordination - frontend backend team of Infosys.
- VZ Access follow ups / L1 L2 approval and provide business justification etc.
- Project team raises ATYS At Your Service Request - ServiceNow portal request for apps/clouds/db/jenkis etc, VZ managers L1, L2 approval is needed. Follow-up with stakeholders is needed.
- It is tech leads/PMs responsibility to maintain list of access needed for any project. We also maintain REQ# RITSM# for history.
- WO extension process with Verizon managers for FTE
- 30 months tenure expire follow up and profile procurement and if any exception is applicable.
- Furlough management for Fractal employees as per client stakeholders.
- Keep Checking Allocation/Staffing on FMS for Project Team
