Senior Project ManagerAre you a Senior Project Manager with infrastructure project experience looking for a new opportunity in 2026?
We are seeking an experienced Project Managers to lead the planning, design and delivery of diverse infrastructure projects across sectors such as buildings, defence, water, and resources. You will oversee multi-disciplinary project teams, work closely with clients, and ensure projects meet cost, schedule, quality and safety objectives.
This role involves managing end to end project phases—from scoping and design management through to delivery—while also contributing to business development, proposal support and identifying new opportunities. You will play a key role in shaping client relationships and supporting a high performing project culture.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver projects on time, within budget and aligned to quality and safety requirements.
Lead and coordinate multi-disciplinary design or delivery teams (internal and external).
Engage proactively with clients to manage expectations and maintain strong relationships.
Oversee project planning, budgeting, scheduling and risk management.
Ensure compliance with project management frameworks, industry standards and governance processes.
Prepare reports, proposals and bid documentation as required.
Support business development by identifying opportunities and contributing to win strategies.
Provide leadership, guidance and development support to project team members.
Foster a culture of safety, teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement.
Skills & Experience Required:
Essential:
Degree in Engineering, Construction, Project Management or related field.
Ideally 15 years’ experience delivering infrastructure or construction projects (e.g., buildings, defence, water, utilities, resources).
Proven experience managing multi-disciplinary project teams.
Strong project management capability across cost, schedule, quality and HSE.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
Strong commercial and risk awareness with experience in budgeting and cost control.
Ability to prepare clear project documentation, reports and proposals.
Desirable
Post graduate qualifications in project management or business.
Chartered status (CPEng, RPEQ, CEng or equivalent).
Experience in proposal leadership and bid preparation.
Familiarity with Australian Standards, building codes and regulatory frameworks.
Industry experience in government, defence, water authorities, industrial or resource sector clients.
Established industry networks with clients, consultants and contractors.
Demonstrated leadership capability including coaching, mentoring and team development.
