About the role

  • The Senior Project Manager role on the Enterprise Program and Project Management team (EPPM), will foster innovation and agility for our M&A GBS initiatives, IT projects, as well as lead standard Waterfall projects and programs. This role will be responsible for overseeing the GBS M&A projects, and cross-functional alignment across the organization, to ensure we comply with regulatory and organizational standards, in addition to standard project and program delivery. This role involves coordinating with various departments to ensure project management practices are effectively integrated and maintained, fostering a culture of compliance, continuous improvement and collaboration.

Main responsibilities will include:

  • Establish and enforce governance policies and procedures to ensure compliance with Project Management standard processes
  • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to teams and individuals on Waterfall and Agile principles and practices.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by facilitating retrospectives and implementing feedback loops.
  • Oversee the quality assurance processes with product development teams, regulatory bodies, and other partners to ensure alignment and compliance.
  • Successfully initiate, plan, implement, and deliver projects and programs
  • Lead cross-functional project teams in a Global matrix environment, optimizing team performance on assigned tasks and deliverables
  • Define and organize project work, required documents and results for validation and compliance, including meeting cadence, scorecards, RAID log, etc.
  • Monitor and control project status relating to scope, timeline, resources, quality, risks, issues, partner concerns, and project budgets through value realization
  • Partner and coordinate with external vendors and suppliers as needed
  • Identify and mitigate risks associated with transformations and ensure that potential issues are addressed proactively.
  • Develop and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and Objective and Keys Results (OKRs) to measure the effectiveness of practices and identify areas for improvement.
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of governance processes and policies
  • Ability to handle global teams and support matrixed time zone requirements

About you

  • Experience in driving M&A transformations
  • Proven experience as an Project Management Practitioner
  • Minimum 8 years of professional experience, including 5 years formal project management experience
  • Experience working in a global matrixed organization
  • Confirmed experience in driving large-sized projects and programs from initiation through closure.
  • In-depth understanding of project management methodologies (Waterfall, Agile, Lean/Six Sigma, Scrum) and processes
  • Professional project management certification (PMP, Prince2, etc.) or formal education in related filed is required.
  • Expertise using project management and Agile tools and software (i.e. Microsoft Project, Jira, Dev Ops, VersionOne)
  • Show proficiency in managing risks, planning strategically, working effectively with partners, delivering compelling presentations, and persuading others.
  • Understanding of interdependencies between technology, operations and business
