Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Senior Project Manager (Electrical) to join our team!
In this role, you will be responsible for providing overall direction and management for medium-sized projects or multiple smaller projects, ensuring successful delivery in line with scope, schedule, budget, and contractual requirements.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Plans, directs, supervises, and controls the execution of all business, technical, fiscal, and administrative functions of the assigned project.
  • Oversees establishment of the Project Execution Plan, Health and Safety Plan, Quality Assurance/Quality Control Plan, and other required project documentation.
  • Establishes program requirements for all areas of the project and monitors draft and final deliverables to ensure compliance with approved criteria.
  • Assigns responsibility for executing project plans to key subordinates based on qualifications, capabilities, and strengths.
  • Negotiates changes to the scope of work with clients and key subcontractors.
  • Identifies opportunities, markets, and secures additional work with the client.
  • Follows up on all instructions, commitments, and action items related to the project.
  • Develops and distributes project summaries to all project team members for reference and alignment.
  • Provides input on performance reviews and development plans for subordinate staff.
  • Mobilizes company resources through coordination with support departments, other offices, or subsidiaries to form effective project teams.
  • Coordinates with profit center and department managers on qualifications required for key project positions.
  • Collaborates with facilities and office teams regarding project space and logistical requirements.
  • Works closely with other managers, project engineers, and discipline leads to develop project budgets, schedules, and execution plans.
  • Develops and implements action plans to mitigate cost overruns, delays, or scope changes, and communicates impacts to client and company management.
  • Ensures timely preparation, submission, and approval of change orders.
  • Promotes technical, commercial, and quality excellence through consistent application of QA processes.
  • Handles field-related responsibilities as required, including labor relations, local procurement, and payroll operations.
  • Monitors and reports project progress, milestones, risks, and performance indicators to senior management.
  • Acts as the Company’s primary representative with clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and stakeholders during project execution.
  • Participates in negotiations with regulatory authorities and attends public or client meetings as required.
  • Establishes and leads weekly project status meetings and drives action item closure.
  • Ability to visit project sites and carry out inspections as needed.
  • Performs other responsibilities associated with this position as appropriate.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
  • Minimum 15+ years of relevant professional experience, including extensive project management experience on similar or related projects.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and manage complex electrical scope within large-scale projects.
  • Strong knowledge of industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to electrical engineering and project execution.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to meet Parsons’ Project Management Certification requirements.
  • Professional registration or certification is preferred and may be required.
