Brown & Brown is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our growing team!
The Sr. Project Manager, organizes and helps drive the execution of the team’s strategy and project portfolio. This role owns organizing, planning, tracking, and communication to keep priorities, people, and timelines aligned. The Sr. Project Manager is accountable for driving initiatives from intake through delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within scope, and within approved budgets, while proactively managing risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
How You Will Contribute:
Maintain the team portfolio/roadmap, including priorities, milestones, owners, dependencies, and status.
Run initiative intake and ensure requests are documented, scoped, and triaged consistently.
Create practical project plans (scope, timeline, work breakdown, RAID, decision log) and keep them current.
Own end-to-end project execution, ensuring assigned projects, tasks, and activities are delivered on time and within approved budget parameters.
When necessary, lead core project routines (kickoffs, working sessions, stakeholder reviews) with clear agendas, notes, and action items.
Track tasks and commitments; follow up to closure and escalate blockers, risks, and decisions needed.
Coordinate cross-functional work and handoffs; manage dependencies and change impacts.
Proactively manage changes in project scope, timelines, and priorities, and partner with stakeholders to assess impacts and develop contingency plans as needed.
Build the team operating cadence (weekly planning, status reporting, quarterly planning support).
Produce concise updates for leadership and stakeholders (progress, risks, next steps).
Standardize templates and processes to improve organization, consistency, and throughput.
Skills & Experience to be Successful:
~5+ years of project management experience leading cross-functional initiatives.
Exceptional organization, documentation, and follow-through across multiple priorities.
Strong facilitation and written communication (clear agendas, notes, and status updates).
Proficient with Microsoft 365 and common work-tracking tools.
Demonstrated ability to independently manage multiple concurrent projects in a fast-paced, changing environment.
Strong critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and sound judgment when managing competing priorities.
Experience supporting data, analytics, technology, or innovation initiatives (preferred).
PMP/CAPM (or equivalent experience) (preferred).
Experience building intake, governance, and portfolio reporting processes (preferred).
Experience working in insurance, financial services, or similarly regulated environments is a strong advantage (preferred).
Experience with enterprise project management tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or similar platforms) (preferred).
Pay Range
$100,000.00 - $125,000.00 AnnualThe pay range provided above is made in good faith and based on our lowest and highest annual salary or hourly rate paid for the role and takes into account years of experience required, geography, and/or budget for the role.
