Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a highly motivated and energetic professional to act as Senior Project Management Specialist - F/A-18 Complex Spares and Repairs for US Navy F/A-18 Integrated Readiness and Training in Hazelwood, MO. Reporting to the F/A-18 Sustainment Senior Program Manager, the successful candidate will lead the Project Management of F/A-18 Complex Spares and Repairs for the US Navy fleet of ~800 F/A-18 Super Hornets and EA-18 Growlers. These are some of the most critical and complex parts to US Naval Aviation readiness. The total portfolio value is approximately $350M with $200M in contracts to be awarded.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Leads, develops, coordinates, integrates, analyzes, and maintains integrated plans and schedules for complex projects, programs, and manages deliveries in accordance with project management best practices
  • Report to leadership on status of delivery orders, program metrics and customer engagements
  • Identifies risks, issues and opportunities, and develops action plans across all stakeholders to mitigate risks and realize opportunities
  • Participate in proposal preparation activities to work with functional partners and suppliers to submit complex proposals to the customer on time
  • Contributes to supplier management requirements, order placements, and supplier negotiations to ensure executability of programs to schedule, cost and quality
  • Collaborate with engineering and quality functions to resolve non-conformances, supplier escapes, and drive quality process improvements
  • Facilitates and ensures integration of project/program plan, schedules, change and baseline management, processes, techniques considered to be best practice across the industry
  • Acts as primary project contact with the customer to establish key stakeholder requirements and project objectives
  • Coordinates commitments with internal and external stakeholders to fulfill strategies

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years’ experience in a role requiring project / program management skills
  • 3+ years’ experience managing and prioritizing projects in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience developing and maintaining relationships and partnerships with stakeholders (i.e. customers, suppliers, peers and/or partners)
  • Experience with long-term contracting and government partnership strategy development
  • Able and willing to travel up to 20% of the time domestically

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 3+ years’ experience in supplier management or supply chain management
  • 3+ years’ experience with F/A-18E/F & EA-18G
  • Experience in contract management 
  • Experience in production operations or orders management
  • A current CAPM (Certified Associate of Project Management) or PMP Certification

Summary pay range: $118,150 - $159,850
