HVDC (High Voltage Direct Current) is a product group in Hitachi Energy, which develops, manufacture and sells DC transmission systems on a global market. HVDC technology is used to transmit electricity over long distances and for power transmission via submarine cables. It is also used to connect power systems.

How you'll make an impact
In this role you are responsible for proactively identify, manage, and control interfaces in our complex project environment.
You use interface management in a structured way to facilitate cross functional, cross project and cross organization collaboration between internal and external project stakeholders.
Leading project engineering team, or teams, in an optimal way together with Project Engineering Manager and Technical Project Lead Engineer.
You enable continuous and effective flow of information and communication across the project's internal as well as external interfaces and hence proactively avoid misunderstandings.
You work primarily with technical interfaces to support our core business of Engineering.
In projects, you report to a PEM (Project Engineering Manager) and/or a Project Director (PD), and since this is a senior role you belong, contribute and help develop a department with Project Interface Managers (PIM).
Your background
You value transparency and self motivation, and you contribute and share a broad experience in failure, success, and learnings.
You are team player that continuously demonstrates a clear commitment and solution mindset.
You have vast experience of working with interface management in large technically complex projects.
You are confident in yourself, your own abilities including your leadership qualities, and you prioritize creating long-term relationships, both internally within your project, within HVDC as an organization and with other external stakeholders.
As we work in a global organization, you need good knowledge of English. Other languages used within the group are meritorious.
We would like you to have a relevant university degree and at least 10 years of experience in project and/ or interface management.
If you have experience with HVDC and PMI/PMP or other project management certifications, it is advantageous.
