The R&D Technical Project Engineer is responsible for leading and executing new product development and technology innovation projects from concept to mass production, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet performance, quality, and cost targets. He/She will work closely with cross-functional teams (local and global) and external partners to drive the company’s innovation pipeline and long-term technology roadmap success.
1. Fully responsible for the overall planning, execution, and closing of assigned R&D projects (including timeline, budget, resources, and risk management)
2. Develop and execute detailed project plans that align with the company’s product roadmap and technology strategy
3. Coordinate cross-functional teams (ME, FA, Quality, Purchasing, Production etc.) and global R&D support functions to ensure project milestones are achieved
4. Provide regular project updates (progress, risks, budget, resources) to XRX CN Head of R&D/ Steering Co.
5. Act as the primary point of contact for all project-related inquiries, issues, and escalations (internal and external)
6. Ensure all technical requirements, customer specifications (internal/external), and regulatory requirements are clearly defined, communicated and met.
7. Conduct technical, schedule, cost, and strategic risk assessments, and develop mitigation plans
8. Lead regular project review meetings (gate reviews, design reviews, risk reviews) with stakeholders to ensure alignment and identify improvement opportunities
9. Responsible for daily/weekly project status reporting, data analysis, and dashboard maintenance. Drive change management process and ensure all changes are properly evaluated, documented, and approved.
Qualification :
1. Bachelor or above,graduated from Engineering background, preferably with business;
2. > 3+ years industry experience in ophthalmic lens or other extended reality related field;
3.> 3+ years of experience of cross-functional project management:
Preferred: Proven track record of success in developing and maintaining relationships with key accounts;
4. Outstanding communication and presentation skills;
5. Exceptional analytical skills and the ability to think strategically;
6. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure;
7. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
8. High degree of initiative and ownership and responsibility.;
9. Advanced English communication skills at reading, writing, listening and speaking.;
