IQVIA Institute for Human Data Science contributes to advancing human health by generating rigorous, evidence-based research. IQVIA Institute utilizes proprietary data sources, subject matter experts, advanced analytical skills, academic and external partners to conduct research and develop objective and data driven reports. These reports are intended for a broad set of stakeholders across the health system, such as policy makers, physicians, patients, societies, foundations etc. Our reports are widely downloaded with nearly 70,000 downloads last year along with over 600 citations in scholarly publications. Research at the IQVIA Institute can vary in size and complexity. We apply quantitative and qualitative analytical skills to a a variety of IQVIA data sources, external data sources and secondary literature to develop our reports. Role Overview:

Senior Project Associates is an integral part of funded research projects. They provide high quality, on-time input to client projects related to funded reports and research in the life sciences field. These projects range in complexity from basic analysis and problem solving to assisting in the development of more complex solutions. Senior Project Associates may serve as project leader for small teams or work streams and may need to manage client meetings and day-to-day relationship. These projects may be done in partnership with several other teams across IQVIA. The research and reports led by Senior Project Associates contribute to public health and public policy discourse across the globe and are well respected and used by stakeholders across the healthcare system (from policy makers, physicians, patients, societies, foundations etc.)

Essential Functions:

  • Assist with the review and analysis of funded report requirements or problems and assist in the development of proposals
  • Assist in the development of detailed documentation and specifications
  • Perform quantitative or qualitative analyses to assist in the identification of key issues for funded research/reports and the development of tailored solutions.
  • Takes ownership of assigned workstreams involving mostly standard analysis of standard datasets with high levels of quality and accuracy                                                                                 
  • Assist in the design/structure and completion of presentations/exhibits/reports that are appropriate to the characteristics or needs of the audience.
  • Develop, and present, complete client deliverables within known/identified frameworks and methodologies.
  • Follow instructions to support publication process including proof-reading and checking consistency of numbers and styles
  • Proactively develop a basic knowledge of IQVIA Institute methodologies and the life sciences industry and healthcare policy through the delivery of funded research/reports and participation in formal and informal learning opportunities.
  • Manage other engagement based responsibilities as assigned and managed by Managers, Directors.


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in life sciences, public health or other related field required. MBA, MPH, PhD would be a value addition.
  • Typically possesses 3-5 years of post-undergraduate experience or 2-3 years of post Masters experience.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the fundamental processes of business, their interaction, and the impact of external/internal influences on decision making, growth and decline.
  • Knowledge of current events and developments within an industry and major competitors.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the healthcare system across countries
  • Knowledge of consulting and research methodologies, tools and techniques related to functional area
  • Results oriented approach to work delivery and output. Ability to solve problems independently and creatively.
  • Effective communication - strong written and verbal communication skills including good command of English language.
  • Organization: Planning, time management and prioritization skills.
  • Prioritization: Ability to handle conflicting priorities.
  • Quality: High attention to detail and accuracy in work.
  • IT skills: Proficient software and computer skills, including MS Office applications, including but not limited to, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Intermediate or advanced Excel skill level preferred.
  • Collaboration: Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers, and clients. Ability to work across geographies displaying high awareness and understanding of cultural differences.

The potential base pay range for this role, when annualized, is $68,300.00 - $170,000.00. The actual base pay offered may vary based on a number of factors including job-related qualifications such as knowledge, skills, education, and experience; location; and/or schedule (full or part-time). Dependent on the position offered, incentive plans, bonuses, and/or other forms of compensation may be offered, in addition to a range of health and welfare and/or other benefits.
