PATH seeks a Senior Program Manager for the STRengthening Infectious disease DEtection Systems (STRIDES) project. The global project will support and strengthen surveillance, detection and analytical capacity of infectious diseases across both human and animal health.
The Senior Program Manager will report to STRIDES Global Team and assist with project management support, organization of infectious disease surveillance activities, and coordination between relevant ministries of health, PATH country and technical teams and other implementing partners globally.
Responsibilities:
Act as the primary point of contact between country office leadership, global technical and operational staff, and partners.
Support the start-up of project activities, by coordinating work plan development and providing start-up operational support and backstopping.
Provide on-going facilitation for day-to-day implementation of project activities, working collaboratively with the STRIDES team to quickly identify and resolve challenges to successful implementation.
Support the development, review and submission of deliverables and reports to ensure high quality and timely products.
Provide financial management support to global and country office teams through analyzing financial data, monitoring project expenses against budgets, and forecasting, with support from the Finance and Administration Staff.
Monitor compliance with STRIDES contract and PATH policies, identify and effectively communicate any risks to compliance.
Work closely with the relevant stakeholders and partners in coordinating activity implementation.

Coordinate global and country buy-in level planning and review meetings to track progress of implementation of interventions and ensure coordination between program team and external stakeholders.
Support in the creation of presentations for updates and meetings.
Support knowledge management through meeting minutes, sharepoint site, and other project activities.
Monitor compliance with STRIDES contract and PATH policies, identify and effectively communicate any risks to compliance.
Required skills and Experience:
Master's degree with 5 years of experience or bachelor's degree with minimum 7 years of experience, with work experience in public health, international development or a related field.
Experience supporting USG funded health projects, with preference for high-consequence pathogen interventions.
Familiarity with stakeholders active in global health security, including outbreak investigation, infectious disease surveillance, One Health, health systems strengthening, data collection and use for infectious disease surveillance and response is a plus.
Proven ability to multi-task and work effectively with senior staff, colleagues, donors, partner organizations, stakeholders, local institutions, and others at all levels.
Strong problem-solving, organization skills and a positive, solution-oriented approach to challenges.
Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines, and an emphasis on quality.
Excellent analytical, presentation, and report writing skills.
Excellent skills in facilitation, team building, and coordination.
Extremely detail-oriented, with the ability to communicate effectively and concisely, both orally and in writing.
Strong work ethic, resourcefulness, integrity, credibility, and dedication to PATH’s mission.
Professional proficiency in English required, and French preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Sharepoint, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)
