IDEXX Veterinary Software is seeking a Senior Program Manager to join our Strategy & Operations organization. In this role, you will lead complex, cross-functional programs that directly advance VetSoft’s most critical strategic priorities. What can you expect?
Program Strategy & Alignment
- Partner with Senior Leadership to translate strategic priorities into scalable, cross-functional programs with clear outcomes, KPIs, and value realization plans.
- Shape program roadmaps that align multiple workstreams to enterprise objectives, ensuring sequencing, resource alignment, and long-term sustainability.
- Drive clarity on scope, interdependencies, trade-offs, and decision frameworks across complex initiatives.
Program Leadership & Execution
- Lead large-scale, global, cross-functional programs from concept through implementation, ensuring delivery against strategic objectives and timelines.
- Design and implement governance models, operating cadences, and Leadership reporting structures that drive transparency and accountability.
- Anticipate, identify, and mitigate systemic risks and cross-program dependencies; proactively resolve barriers to execution.
- Champion disciplined execution while maintaining agility in dynamic, high-growth environments.
- Institutionalize best practices and scalable processes that improve organizational effectiveness beyond the life of the program.
Executive & Stakeholder Influence
- Serve as a trusted advisor to senior leaders, providing data-driven insights, structured recommendations, and clear decision support.
- Influence and align stakeholders across functions, geographies, and levels — often without direct authority.
- Drive executive communication, including steering committee updates and strategic recommendations.
- Foster strong partnerships with internal teams and external partners to ensure alignment, engagement, and shared ownership of outcomes.
What do you need to succeed?
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 8–12+ years of progressive experience leading complex, cross-functional programs in a fast-paced, matrixed organization.
- Demonstrated ability to operate at both strategic and operational levels — connecting enterprise vision to disciplined execution.
- Strong business acumen, financial literacy, and experience managing programs with measurable ROI.
- Expertise in program governance, risk management, change management, and organizational alignment.
- Exceptional executive communication skills, with experience presenting to and influencing senior leadership.
- Proven ability to lead through ambiguity, manage competing priorities, and drive alignment across diverse stakeholder groups.
- Proficiency in program management and collaboration tools (e.g., Smartsheet, Microsoft Teams).
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent certification preferred.
