Full Time (37.5 hours) per week

Role Overview 

The Senior Products & Enablement Manager will ensure strategic alignment for product development opportunities and outline strategies to define profitable healthcare products within Bupa UKI, ensuring alignment with customer needs, market demands, and the fair value framework. This role will shape specific strategic initiatives through leveraging market insight to scan and identify new products which can be brought to market, and oversee the product development portfolio. The role will partner with the Commercial business area to develop partnership opportunities and shape approaches to ensure product and market fit. This role will work collaboratively across the PD&PD team, PPT and key stakeholders across the BU/MU, and Groups and will  
deputise for the Director. It will present and shape Bupa opportunities with C-suite Executives in prospective partner organisations, The Senior Products & Enablement Manager will play a key role in enabling Bupa UKI’s product strategy and contributing to overall business objectives. 

 

Key Responsibilities 

Strategy & Innovation 

  • Shape key components of the Product & Proposition strategy, developing new content and thinking to feed discovery and design opportunities. 

  • Ensure strategic alignment with profitability and growth targets across all initiatives. 

  • Lead the design and architecture of innovation themes and healthcare product roadmaps and portfolios, including new benefits tailored to customer needs. 

  • . Support the development of propositions to meet specific partnership and distribution opportunities, engaging with Commercial and other teams to achieve. 

Collaboration & Leadership 

  • Work closely with Product & Proposition leads, Commercial teams, and senior stakeholders to identify and develop new product opportunities. 

  • Contribute to broader product strategies, including ConnectedCare and emblematic strategic initiatives. 

  • Maintain strong relationships with strategy and development roles across UKI, Bupa Health Services, Care Services, BDC, MU, and Group functions. 

  • Lead cross-functional teams to deliver strategic opportunities, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and accountability. 

  • Deputise for the Director and provide leadership support across the Product Discovery & Development team. 

Insights, Market Analysis & Horizon Scanning 

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging themes to identify aligned strategic opportunities. 

  • Review market research to inform specific new initiatives focused on profitability and customer value. 

  • Collaborate with Heads of Product and Healthcare to explore new medical provisions and services. 

Product Roadmap Development 

  • Ensure the roadmap portfolio of new products and services is strategically aligned and unlocks the value of integrated funding and provision capabilities. 

  • Engage with Commercial and Customer teams to gather insights and validate partnerships and product offerings for key segments (corporate, SME, consumer). 

  • Work with Pricing teams to design approaches that meet market demands and profitability requirements across the portfolio. 

Market Impact 

  • Partner with Heads of Product, Product Engagement, and Delivery to maximise market impact for health and dental propositions. 

  • Present product and innovation strategies at internal, client, and broker sessions, supporting new business development. 

  • Collaborate with senior executives at prospective partner organisations to shape product opportunities with partnerships in collaboration with Commercial. 

Performance Monitoring & Risk Management 

  • Define and recommend KPIs to measure product success, customer satisfaction, and business outcomes. 

  • Collaborate with Customer Insights to generate data-driven recommendations for future development. 

  • Ensure new opportunities adhere to regulatory standards and maintain robust risk management practices. 

Team Development 

  • Set clear performance objectives for team members, aligning goals with overall product strategy. 

  • Provide coaching and development opportunities to enhance team capabilities and support career progression. 

 

Skills & Experience 

  • Proven experience in product strategy, innovation, and market analysis. 

  • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to align initiatives to profitability and growth targets. 

  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills. 

  • Creative problem-solving and ideation capabilities. 

  • Knowledge of UK healthcare market and regulatory environment (preferred). 

  • Leadership experience in managing cross-functional teams.
