Senior Product Owner - SPM/CSDM/Azure Boards/MyICS

The (Sr) Product Owner within COO Tech Product Management is responsible for the end-to-end product ownership of ServiceNow SPM & CSDM, Azure Boards, MyICS, and all relevant interfaces with other COO Tech tools. The purpose of the COO Tech & Transformation is to drive strategic transformation and tech operational excellence. The Team

This role is positioned within the Reporting & Insights team. COO Tech consists of four subdepartments, with several teams operating under their leadership:

1) CTO Development & Support, 2) Change & Transformation, 3) Product & Service Management and 4) Reporting & Insights.

Reporting and Insights team provides insights and ensures data compliance within CTO. The team on the one hand ensures compliance with data standards and quality management of CTO-owned data. On the other, it delivers a unified standard set of institutional reports on delivery, performance, financial, service management, people and risk. The team’s purpose is to empower CTO by creating institutional reports which are used. The insights contained therein are trusted and the data, metrics and the reports are owned and governed. The team ensures the CTO is compliant to the data standards and policy and provides tools supporting the ING way of working for Change and Transformation and Product Led Thinking.

You report hierarchically into the Lead Reporting & Insights/Product Management. The team owns product management for the following tools:

  • ServiceNow PPM, including Time writing

  • Azure Boards

  • MyICS

  • The ServiceNow CSDM modules, which focus on Portfolio Management, Digital Product Management, Service Management, and Intra-company Sourcing.

Roles and responsibilities

  • The (Sr) Product Owner within COO Tech Product Management is responsible for the end-to-end product ownership of ServiceNow SPM & CSDM, Azure Boards, MyICS, and all relevant interfaces with other COO Tech tools.

  • This includes, the day-to-day ownership and governance of the tooling, such as managing and prioritising the backlog, defining requirements, allocating engineering capacity, and working closely with engineers to deliver value.

  • The delivery teams for the tools are hierarchically working in another tech domain and report functionally to the product owners in this team.

  • The role is responsible for leading product ceremonies, ensuring proper administration, documentation, and process execution, as well as enabling effective adoption through training and clear guidance to stakeholders.

  • Longer term development and implementation of new releases often will necessitate cooperation with the user organizations.

  • Alignment with stakeholders is key: you need to understand the processes that the tools support in the customer context.

  • You act as a conversion partner for COO Tech Management and process & report owners and drive predicable delivery schedules in alignment with the user organizations.

We are looking for the following knowledge and experience:

  • Minimum 5 years’ relevant high-level professional experience required in a delivery environment or working in a large senior stakeholder field.

  • Deep understanding of the change & IT processes and life cycle processes of tools in a complex international Tech landscape

  • Working experience as product owner related to tooling or other comparable settings with many internal users

  • Deep understanding of the financial processes of change, charging-, contract- processes related to digital products and related tools

  • Deep understanding of the delivery processes and related tools e.g. ServiceNow, Azure

  • Strong analytical capabilities, quantitative insights and problem-solving skills

  • Working experience in an international enterprise environment.

  • The candidate should be based in the Netherlands to facilitate face-to-face interactions in the ING office. Skills:

  • Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills: a naturally collaborative person, who listens and invests in others to achieve common goals and at the same time pushes, where needed, to achieve results

  • Strong product owner and/or -management skills

  • Organizationally sensitive with the ability to build trust with senior leadership

  • Strong analytical capabilities, quantitative insights and problem-solving skills

  • Excellent level of English, communication, and presentation skills Education:

  • Master’s degree and relevant certifications
