The Role
The Product Owner will be responsible for daily product management, owning the team backlog, and maximizing the value delivered to customer and stakeholder needs. The role will partner with Engineering and other stakeholders to translate business features into technical tasks. The product owner will be responsible for executing the team backlog thorough the entire life cycle management of a product, including purpose, definition, design, planning, development prototyping and testing. The role is within Solera’s global parts solutions team, and will focus on products for the North America market.
What You'll Do
- Gain in-depth level of understanding of the assigned product(s), including use cases, competitive environment, and technical design
- Analyze customer needs and conduct brainstorming sessions to extract the requirements, desired workflows, and outcomes
- Write clear and concise user stories, acceptance criteria, and other documentation to guide development efforts and ensure alignment with business objectives
- Manage backlog prioritization, sprint planning, and roll-out of owned features
- Assist in development of SOWs in collaboration with commercial teams which may include customer discovery sessions and other direct customers contact
- Collaborate with the One Solera team including Developers, QA, Professional Services, Scrum Master, etc. to deliver valuable product increments by driving the epics and user-stories definition and participating in the agile ceremonies
- Develop, prioritize, and align high value features within Solera’s quarterly and fiscal year planning
- Track and analyze product performance metrics driving data-based decisions
- Develop product documentation for both internal (Confluence, Jira, etc.) and external use (user guides, etc.)
What you will bring
- At least 6+ years of product owner, business analyst, or product manager experience with B2B web applications / platforms (Experience in automotive life cycle, repair, or parts valued)
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills is required (professional proficiency) with an additional strong Spanish language ability valued
- Experience with Agile Scrum process along with Backlog Management and Wiki systems such as Confluence
- Excellent team skills, ability to work in a complex organization
- Proven ability to work independently and within teams
- Problem-solving and analytical skills to identify opportunities and pain-points through data and customers/stakeholders’ insights
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
