SALARY: £76,194 - £89,640

LOCATION: Bristol

WORKING PATTERN: Our work style is hybrid, which involves spending at least two days per week, or 40% of our time, at our Bristol office location.

About this Opportunity 

CDS Lab centralizes Bank's Customer Data using APIs and streaming tech for customer journeys. As a Senior Product Owner your day will be varied engaging with collaborators, customers, and interested parties for cross-Divisional perspective on Group Data change.

We provide and maintain all the Customer party Data. There are ~40 million+ customer records on our customer applications (personal and non personal), and we thereby provide a critical enabling service as we support ~14+ Critical Business Processes from logon to payments.

Here’s where you’ll make a difference -

Working together with your Lead Engineering counterpart in a 'two-in-a-box' model to jointly lead the product team providing a phenomenal value proposition to your customers from across the company, engaging with senior business leaders to understand long-term strategic data challenges. By blending both deep domain and technical expertise across a number of component and feature teams who build, deploy, and maintain capabilities and services enabling earlier value release for our customers ensuring we:

  • Meet the needs of customers related to a range of products and services, defining Business Value Goals that resonate with your collaborators and delivering customer driven solutions and high-quality software
  • Work alongside multiple divisions in an agile environment dealing with backlogs and delivering use cases for the various business units as well as working on software orientated products/projects and articulating a Product Vision and Roadmap
  • Actively contribute to skills development in the data business, improve both personal and team proficiencies and support talent as well through coaching and mentoring colleagues to reach their full potential and become part of the broader Data & Machine Learning PO community to drive and support initiatives

What you’ll need

  • An experienced technical leader with data domain expertise, a growth mind-set, and a dedication to leading change
  • Ability to articulate a clear product vision and roadmap, aligning teams and stakeholders towards shared objectives
  • Ability to stimulate innovation whilst mitigating risk, conducting data driven test and learn activities.
  • Demonstrated expertise in blending deep domain and technical knowledge across multiple component and feature teams, building, deploying, and maintaining data-driven capabilities and services.
  • Experience engaging with senior business leaders to understand and address long-term strategic data challenges.
  • Experience working in agile environments, managing backlogs, and delivering use cases for diverse business units, including software-oriented products and projects
