The Chief Operations Office (COO) supports the Group by delivering effective, efficient, and continually improving operational processes, all with a strong focus on customer experience. Within COO, the Customer Data Services (CDS) Crew plays a critical role in building and managing CBA’s strategic customer master platform, the foundation of a single, trusted view of our customers across the Group.
 

The crew ensures the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of customer data by modernising core systems, implementing cloud-first architectures, and enabling integration through API-driven and microservices-based solutions.

Our work connects and powers the bank’s customer ecosystem, ensuring that every channel, product, and service interacts with the same high-quality, verified customer data. By leveraging innovative data practices, automation, and advanced matching logic, the CDS Crew strengthens customer identity integrity and protects against duplication, fraud, and error.


Do work that matters

As Senior Product Owner, you’ll lead the squad responsible for our critical customer data platform and services. You’ll manage the product backlog, prioritise enhancements, and drive agile delivery to maintain and improve the integrity of customer data.

A key priority is establishing a new cloud-based strategic customer master, modernising technology and enabling seamless experiences across the Group.

More specifically, you will:

  • Lead the squad delivering our strategic customer master platform
  • Own and prioritise the product backlog
  • Drive agile delivery and squad ceremonies
  • Champion cloud-first and API-based solutions
  • Collaborate across teams to solve complex data challenges
  • Influence stakeholders and manage dependencies
  • Focus on improving data quality, integrity, and customer experience

What you’ll bring

  • Experience in customer master data management (MDM)
  • Strong analytical skills and commercial acumen
  • Proven Product Owner experience (certification highly regarded)
  • Agile delivery experience
  • Ability to influence and collaborate across diverse teams
  • Familiarity with AWS and cloud-based technologies (highly regarded)
  • Experience in data modelling and governance (highly regarded)
