SALARY: £78,098 - £91,880

LOCATION(S):  Manchester or Chester

HOURS: Full-time

What you’ll be doing

The Credit Cards Engagement & Service Lab sits at the heart of how millions of existing credit card customers interact with Lloyds Banking Group every day. Our purpose is to make managing credit straightforward, transparent, and confidence‑building — supporting responsible lending while driving long‑term customer value.

With multi‑year investment secured, we’re bringing critical customer experiences back into the platform and reshaping how they’re built, owned and evolved. As our senior Product Owner, you’ll lead this change – setting the product vision, landing complex, high‑impact journeys and building experiences that keep Lloyds front‑of‑wallet in a fiercely competitive market!

You’ll take accountability for how we design, build, and evolve core servicing experiences across our brands to maximise customer engagement. This includes digital capabilities that help customers understand, manage, and get more from their credit cards throughout their lifecycle. You’ll have responsibility for objectives and key results for product areas within the Cards platform, for which you’ll own and prioritise the product backlog, standing behind the investments made and the value delivered for customers and the business.

Partnering closely with Commercial Product Managers, Customer Journey Managers, Engineers, Designers, and dependent platforms (including external partners) you’ll convert insight into value at pace. Crucially, you’ll own what you build — from defining the vision, through delivery, to live performance and ongoing optimisation.

Why join us?

We’re on an exciting journey to transform our Group and the way we’re shaping finance for good. We’re focusing on the future, investing in our technologies, workplaces, and colleagues to make our Group a great place for everyone.

What we’re looking for?

  • 5 years Product Owner or Product Manager experience, leading complex product areas, defining strategy and bringing customer‑facing features to market using agile delivery practices.
  • Proven delivery of high‑engagement, repeat‑use digital servicing or engagement products, with a strong understanding of how to drive customer adoption, loyalty and ongoing value through well‑designed experiences (ideally in consumer finance, lending, or regulated digital environments).
  • A consistent record of taking ambiguous, strategic goals and turning them into clear priorities, customer value slices, and executable backlogs, whilst ensuring appropriate governance, risk, and control considerations are embedded into your products and ways of working.
  • Confidence working with senior collaborators, customer journey teams, and multiple delivery partners, influencing without formal authority.
  • A customer‑led approach, grounded in data, insight, and feedback, combined with sufficient technical understanding to make smart trade‑offs.

We know that great talent comes from many backgrounds. Whilst this job advert may reference specific years of experience, we recognise that skills are developed in many ways, so if you have relevant, transferable experience, we encourage you to apply.

This is a place for you:

Our ambition is to be the leading UK business for diversity, equity and inclusion supporting our customers, colleagues and communities, and we’re committed to creating an environment in which everyone can thrive, learn and develop.

We were one of the first major organisations to set goals on diversity in senior roles, create a menopause health package, and a dedicated Working with Cancer Initiative.

We offer reasonable workplace adjustments for colleagues with disabilities, including flexibility in office attendance, location and working patterns. And, as a Disability Confident Leader, we guarantee interviews for a fair and proportionate number of applicants who meet the minimum criteria for the role with a disability, long-term health or neurodivergent condition through the Disability Confident Scheme.

We provide reasonable adjustments throughout the recruitment process to reduce or remove barriers. Just let us know what you need.

We also offer a wide-ranging benefits package, which includes:

  • A generous pension contribution of up to 15%
  • An annual performance-related bonus
  • Share schemes including free shares
  • Benefits you can adapt to your lifestyle, such as discounted shopping
  • 30 days’ holiday, with bank holidays on top
  • A range of wellbeing initiatives and generous parental leave policies
